My Self-Summary

Ready? Go. In this section I shall delightfully ignore all of the implicit self-summary-rules on how to impress others:

Rule #1: "One must come across as a social super hero who attends interesting events every day and night of the week."

Well, in fact, I'm more of the Clark Kent than the super hero. I'm not fond of bars, I huddle up at parties (unless I'm hosting them - which is rare), and although I enjoy dancing I have stopped clubbing due to concerns on what it does to my hearing. I do exercise regularly & stay fit, however my body is generally a home body. You will have no difficulty finding an available slot on my calendar.

Rule #2: "One's list of music and literature must convey the profound and a great cultural depth."

Music appreciation is something I lost long ago, as a part of losing a constant day-dreaming state. Which was hard to take, & I'm over it now. But alas, there it is for ya. Reading is something I need to do more, it is not a habit.

Rule #3: "Travel! Travel! Travel!"

Traveling is not something I do when left to my own devices. But I can be up for it.

Well that's a good start. This section's grown too large and is in danger of eating its tastier sibling sections, so let us move on shall we? Yes? Good. Then take my hand little one as we step into the bright, candy-hued world of bouncing trees and green bunnies. Wait, that's backwards..
Now in French
Je ne parle pas Francais. Word.
I mean... "mot".

What I’m doing with my life

Luckily I saved up enough from a coding job to be able to take advantage of recent company mass layoffs. It's an opportunity to tend to a huge art project which has been needing my time. For those who are curious, I am making an internet, cartoon comedy series (the animated variety.) www.cosmos-politans.com

I’m really good at

I like to believe that many of us can be good at many things if the will and patience are invested. Not everything may be worth the investment, of course. And yes I like to believe that you have this ability as well. =)

The first things people usually notice about me

I've no idea, as all I usually see about me is this blurry nose protruding from the center of my field of vision. But I'll give it a shot.

Some notice that I'm quite a slow eater. We all have secret cowboy/cowgirl names waiting to be discovered. I have found mine. It is "Slow-Chops". Have you found yours?

Everyone is also always telling me that I look younger than I am. This is not something which I agree with.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

BOOKS: Seymour - An Introduction, Red Prophet, The Jane Eyre Affair. I'm overly picky when it comes to books. Popular literary traits such as a near all-male cast, heaven vs hell, and pathological liars as protagonists put me off (some of the books mentioned here aren't innocent of these themselves). It's true. Here's an example: Having thoroughly enjoyed the Salinger book mentioned above, I decided to try his big one (because, really, who wouldn't want to try Salinger's Big One? Ahem.) EVERYone likes Catcher in the Rye. While reading it at the airport, on two separate occasions I was approached by strangers who told me how much they adore the novel. By golly, if there's ever a good read to be had, this is the one. I didn't enjoy it.

FILMS: Most of my faves are ridiculous, and are not subject to the same unfair standards I place on books. Pootie Tang, Krull, Shaolin Soccer, There's Something About Mary, The Thin Man series, The Life of Brian, Rushmore ...
Also, Smoke Signals, Le Mari de la Coiffeusse... Proof that I enjoy the more serious tales as well. Let's also add Fellowship of the Ring as it is one of the few films I feel driven to watch more than once.

MUSIC: 120Days, Delerium, M83, Seefeel, Sol Seppy ... is this contradictory to what I wrote earlier about lack of music appreciation? We humans are exciting mixes of traits, we are.

CONSUMABLES: All sorts. I am a vegetarian btw, and tend to make a full, balanced homemade meal in the kitchen maybe once a week. Worry not, I do not regulate the diets of others.

The six things I could never do without

Enthusiasm. Not dying. Um.. Six? That's a lot to depend on. You could plop me in a patch of gravel & I'd be entertained.

You should message me if

It can help to strengthen your typing fingers. There are probably other reasons to send me a message, I'm sure.

Also, if you're stable. Excitable or odd is fine, and no one is perfect. Rather, I'm aware that my skills can not handle someone who is temperamental nor suicidal.

Also, if you're ok with my having a friends-first policy.

I do have a soft spot for scientists, the overly educated, and/or artists. But really, one can't predict ahead of time just where a connection will be found. In short, "you should message me if" you're at all curious to do so. You never know.
