My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I went to school for Physics but wished about halfway through that I'd done something else. I am new to Austin but so far have loved what I've had the chance to experience. I enjoy going salsa and swing dancing and read quite a bit. I have a roommate, her name is Lola, she's a cat.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am a software developer by trade, although that's new to me. In the past I've worked as a dance instructor (ballroom, swing, and latin), bartended, worked for Sprint, worked at a horse racing track/casino, managed a massage clinic, as well as a variety of other things. I'm pretty happy with what I do now but I do miss interacting with a bunch of people.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
carrying a conversation.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smiling eyes.

Let's just start with authors:
Robert Anton Wilson, Philip K. Dick, Kurt Vonnegut, William S. Burroughs, Chuck Palahniuk, Anthony Burgess, Mark Z. Danielewski, Doulgas Adams, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Carlos Castaneda, Aleister Crowley, Anne Rice, Orson Scott Cards (but God, his politics drive me nuts!)
And I think E. E. Cummings is the bee's knees.

Donnie Darko, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Labyrinth, Frailty, Ravenous, American Psycho, The Prestige, The Illusionist, Requiem for a Dream, Pi, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, The Dark Knight, Star Trek(the new one), MOST of the new comic book movies.

The Beatles, The Faint, Elton John, David Bowie, The Cure, Gogol Bordello, Elliott Smith, Bob Dylan, The Thrill Kill Kult, The White Stripes, Bright Eyes, The Black Keys, Radiohead, Corey Hart, Chris Isaak, Supertramp, Daft Punk, Dispatch, The Format, Fun, The Lumineers, and many more.

I like sushi (worked in a sushi restaurant for almost 4 years), sea food, a good steak. So far I've been really impressed with most of the cuisine in Austin, although there's a lot of "fusion" restaurants.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A guitar. A book. A good pair of shoes. My smartphone. Coffee. At least one Beatle's record.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Dancing or Karaoke. Out with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I think I have an addiction to Half Price Books.
