My self-summary
Risk-taker with my own money and time to build things which involve programming and design. Intermittent strategy consultant, weaning myself from the golden handcuffs. Bad yet improving guitarist. Present editor of the 400+ pages of novel-joy I wrote.

What I learned in the Ivy League is that prestige is overrated, and passion is underrated. I don't believe in countries, gods, races or money. I do believe in friendship, love, and helping others. I believe beauty and the arts can be transformational.

The folks say I did kindergarten in Indonesia; I don't really remember. The family is in Latin America, Europe and the Middle East.
What I’m doing with my life
I split my time between strategy consulting and personal projects:
- Becoming a technical swiss-army knife, by learning to code
- Launching my iphone app and building the company
- Waiting to edit my dystopian scifi novel

I also blog every now and then, train JKD, and improve my guitar playing / troubadour skill-set.

The list of countries I've visited in 2013:
Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, Mexico, Poland, Germany
I’m really good at
Mixing the crass and the intelligent.
Finding unusual connections between things.
Delving real deep into narratives or stories.
Relating anything pop culture to abstract theory.
Getting you to sing with me while I play guitar.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Bradbury, Zafón, Nietzsche, Kundera, Nabokov, Musil, Schiller, Hegel, Zizek, Shakespeare, Joyce, Arundhati Roy, Naomi Klein

Bleu, Fight Club, Match Point, Closer, Children of Men, Pan's Labyrinth, Godfather, Indiana Jones, LotR, Memento, Star Wars, Twin Peaks, Drive

Democracy Now!

Leonard Cohen, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Beatles, Cat Stevens, Bob Dylan, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, CHVRCHES, Purity Ring, Gogol Bordello, Ella Fitzgerald, Tori Amos, Nina Simone
The six things I could never do without
In principle i can do without most things. a few indispensables:
a sense of possibility, an inkling of my surroundings, and a course of action.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to change the world.
Guitar riffs. The plot I am writing. Startup ideas.
How movies contain hidden ideologies.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I just read Letter to D by André Gorz and it broke my heart.
