I've been writing since I was twelve and hope to be working on one last novel when I pass away at 99 or thereabouts. Over the years, I've put a lot of time and attention and passion into my work, and it has paid off in quality, if not external gratification. Still, I hope to win the National Book Award and a MacArthur Fellowship one day.

Also, I have a full-time job in book publishing now.

I will watch really bad sci-fi shows on TV. Anyone ever seen Sanctuary, on Sci-Fi? Oh, and I watched a whole season of Merlin, a truly awful BBC series take on the Aurthurian legend. Now I'm onto a really terrible thing called Misfits, which is ridiculous. My dark and secret shame.
