I like the kind of music that makes your heart hurt and I really
like seeing the bands I love play shows, especially at
I'm into films in a big way. It's always tricky to pick favourites
as there are tonnes of different ways they can be good.
The Royal Tenenbaums is fucking fantastic all round, the dialogue
in Brick is amazing, Requiem For A Dream stuck with me longer than
any other film has, Harry Potter is a guilty pleasure, I slept with
the light on after Insidious, I laughed so hard at Dodgeball I
almost pissed the sofa, Jackie Brown had me sweating I was so
anxious they wouldn't pull it off and A Little Princess makes me
cry my eyes out every single time.
I tend to read blog posts and articles or study-related garb over
books at the moment, but books I have really loved include:
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close.
Why the Tree Loves the Axe.
The Bell Jar.
Books that are in my when-I-have-time pile are:
100 Years Of Solitude
Great Expectations (I've started reading this one now, YEAH)
I'm definitely better at baking than I am cooking meals but I give
it a crack every so often.
I like eating home-cooked meals together but I either want you to
cook or for me to cook it, otherwise I turn into my mum peering
over your shoulder grimacing and pointedly saying "Well, I wouldn't
personally do it like that but I'm sure it'll be fine."
