My Self-Summary
Where to start? Well, I'm Irish for one. I love my heritage and am
pretty much the epitome of it. I smoke, drink, curse, and am a
generally disruptive type of person. When I say disruptive I do not
mean violent in any way. I just tend to ramble and have retained my
Thespian ability
to project my voice. Just can't seem to ever turn it off! My
friends say I have a charm about me but I fail to see it. My
failings and flaws are well known to me except where love is
concerned. So, I pretty much gave up on it and am simply looking to
have as much fun in what time I have left. I am really just a kid
at heart. I watch a good deal of Anime and play more than my fair share of
Video Games. I
also have a large passion for committing to playing Board Games that take
more than 8 hours to complete. I guess with the child inside also
comes a very large geek.
What I’m doing with my life
I currently live in Gaithersburg, MD trying to make the most of
what I can. I work for the SEC on Capitol Hill, DC as a forensic
analyst. I moved here about six months ago now and will never look
back. I'm still adjusting to the area and trying to meet some of
the local tribes though.
I’m really good at
I can drink most of my friends under the table with little to no
effort. I find myself comfortable in pretty much any situation
unless asked to sing country at Karaoke. I play a lot of video games and
spend most of my time at home playing World of Warcraft or
Aion. I am an
acclaimed painter but not of the usual sorts. I paint 22mm
figurines and take great pride in them. I attend a great many
conventions and gatherings of geeky sorts. I am attending Katsucon
and am currently looking into Anthrocon to give you an idea of the
genres. I've been told on an enumerated number of occasions that I
am a great shoulder to cry on and always there if they need an ear.
The first things people usually notice about me
I am a very loud and jovial person. Most people tend to notice me
because I am pretty hard to miss. I'm 6'3" so I literally stand out
in a crowd. I can make a joke in any situation and can bring a
smile to the most depressed of faces. My eyes change colors and
tend to draw curious looks for people who notice. My female friends
say I have a great ass. Not like I can see it LOL.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Elminster: The Making of a Mage by Ed Greenwood, Hitchhiker's
Guide to the Galaxy, The Silmarillion, The Hobbit, Lord of the
Rings, and my dark side is that I am guilty of loving the Harry
Potter books
Serenity, Boondock Saints, Shawshank Redemption, Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, Willow, V for Vendetta, The Princess Bride, Nightmare before Christmas, anything by Hayao Miyazaki, and of course Star Wars
Most of my favorite music is all in Japanese or orchestral, but I enjoy Disturbed, Linkin Park, Daft Punk, Oakenfold, Bad Boy Bill, and Green Day.
I love all kinds of food and will try anything once. From Japanese to Italian there is always something I will find appetizing. But, Hibatchi and Yakatori steal my breath away.
I watch very little TV. In fact, I don't even have cable in my apartment. But of what I do watch/own on DVD is Firefly, House, Heroes, CSI: Las Vegas, NCIS, The Pretender and Zero Punctuation ((What? It's TV too damnit!))

What changed society to such a degree where if I wave and smile at a person walking down the street do they respond with a disgusted look. Not like I'm going to fucking kill you if you smile and wave back. Deities forbid I actually try to say something or even try to hold a conversation with a complete stranger.

On a typical Friday night I am
Fridays have changed greatly for me in the recent past as now
Saturdays are the pinnacle of my week. I carried over my tradition
in college of having a psuedo house party every Saturday night with
lots of drinking and good ol' fun times to be had. So Friday is
usually spent in preparation. Ariku224, AtomicMecha and RedHeadNerd are usually along my side
getting things together. After we are ready for the adventure to
come we usually either head to Hard Times in Germantown for some
billiards or sit
around the house and play video games. We're looking for a good
karaoke joint though, so let me know if you happen to know of one.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I have quite a few addictions, they have been made blatantly
apparent so far. I guess I have admitted everything already!
