I'm a Bay Area native- born in SF and grew up in Berkeley. I went to undergrad in Southern California and lived in LA for a few years after college. I moved back to the Bay for grad school in 2001 and since being back, make an effort to always take advantage of all the amazing places and activities that are close by- Tahoe, Yosemite, Napa, Giants games, nights in the city, etc,. I love to travel- I've been to Europe a few times, Mexico and Hawaii a number of times, all over the U.S., and Costa Rica most recently. I played baseball in college and am still very active; health and fitness is a big part of my lifestyle in general, and I've also recently started playing on a few teams. I also coach a little league team, which has been a rewarding experience. In general, I'm pretty easy-going, make an effort to always keep a good work/life balance, love adventure and spontaneity, while at the same time can really appreciate a relaxing night on the couch with a glass (or bottle) of wine ;) I also love live music- I've seen some amazing concerts over the last few years.

I would love to meet someone who is intelligent, fun, successful, beautiful; someone pretty spectacular. I'm a little skeptical about the whole "online thing" in general, but I have met a few cool people and have heard the success stories, so I'm optimistic. I'll be happy just to meet and spend time with someone fun and just see where it goes- no big expectations.

PS- Since it seems to be confusing to some people out there, I'm actually NOT a douche bag ;)

Trying to make the most of it. Took me a while to figure out a career that made me happy and was fulfilling, and I'm pretty sure I've found that in the financial services firm I helped start last year. I've spent most of my free time over the past 5+ yrs fixing up my 100 yr old "fixer-upper" house in Rockridge, and am very happy that most of the major projects are finally done. Love to travel and am looking forward to planning a few trips this year- while things may change, as of now I'm going back to Europe, will go to Vietnam for the first time, and Brazil looks promising as well. In the Winter I snowboard as much as possible. In the Summer I try to go camping and hiking at least once or twice a month.

Anything physical- most sports, snowboarding, etc,. Test-taking. My job. Procrastinating. Being organized. Being on time. Finding parking (my parking karma is amazing).

That I'm not very photogenic (I've been told a number of times that I'm better looking in person- still not sure if that's a compliment, but I take it as one... ;). And that I had a good orthodontist when I was 12.

Books- at this point, ANYTHING other than text books
Movies- don't go much, usually end up being disappointed. Always happy to check out what's out on DVD now
Music- pretty much anything other than twangy country. I love live music and have been to some amazing concerts over the past few years (another perk of living in the Bay Area).
Food- yes please
