My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
As Shrek, one of the great philosophers of our time said, “I have layers, like an onion”. I’d say I identify with this fairly well(The layers, not the whole being an ogre thing). The layer that most strangers see on a day to day basis is an easygoing, friendly, but reserved embodiment of the engineering mindset. The layer my friends know me as is a more outgoing, forward, jokester. Ask anyone that knows me and they'll say I'm goal oriented(that's the engineer part haha), always self-improving and highly motivated. Very rarely do I make the same mistake twice.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I’m doing quite a bit, still evaluating what is worth my time and what I need to hold off on. Full time job takes up a healthy majority of my time, but I’ve found a nice balance. In my free time my friends and I tend to do dinner, drinks, movies, or just lounge around. We’ve got a project or two we’re working on together for fun so there is a good variety, enough for us anyways. Even so, I’m still left with some free time that I wouldn't mind sharing with someone.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I’m good at a bunch of things, as most people are. I’m fairly athletic and have played water polo for over 8 years. I also code a fair bit(problem solving, design, and code is my job), been doing more cooking (Hungarian, India, Thai are the favorites) after college so that’s been steadily improving to actually be edible! Speaking of which, I’m also good at eating way more than most people that don’t know me would expect, I may or may not take a bit of joy from blowing people’s minds haha

I’m also great at over analyzing things, which can be a serious pain in the butt sometimes…
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The very first thing? If it’s one on one probably that I don’t take myself too seriously and have a healthy sense of humor. I’m also decently tall, so I guess I’ve got that going for me.

In groups of strangers? Probably that I’m a bit more reserved until I get to know everyone, after which I'm hilarious.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I tend to like comedies, action movies, and most variations of those themes. Batman series was great, Iron Man/Avengers, Limitless, Inception, Anchorman, Office Space is a classic, etc.

I enjoy a lot of genres, EDM, Rock, Rap, to name some. Plus most combinations of the above. Generally if the lyrics are clever, the beat is great, or it just inspires you to bob your head at the minimum I like it.

I tend not to read many books, though I enjoy Sci-Fi, things like Ready Player One, Ender's Game, Hitchhikers Guide, etc come to mind.

Using this as a jumping off point, I prefer video games to books simply because they both usually tell a great story, but the interactivity of video games really sells it to me. I enjoy RPGs, RTS, FPS and I've dabbled in the occasional MMO. Some favorites are Halo Series, Bioshock Series, Assassins Creed Series, Mass Effect Series, Starcraft, Sins of a Solar Empire, I enjoyed CoD:Modern Warfare 1, 2, and 3 for their story, I no longer care for CoD style multiplayer however. League of Legends is also a current favorite. I'm sure I'm forgetting some games here so I'll add more the the list as I remember them.

I love food. I tend to be very open about trying new foods, though I do have my limit for weirdness. Food is great though, Indian, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, burgers, steaks omnomnom. Now I'm hungry...
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Family, Friends, Humor, Technology, Curiosity(Not the Mars rover, though that's pretty freakin' cool too) and intellectual conversation.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My career and where I see myself in about 5 years, and how I plan on getting there. I also put quite a bit of thought into where I consider myself falling short and I do my best to adapt as needed.

On a less serious note I spend plenty of time thinking normal stuff like what I'm going to cook for dinner next, what I'd like to do over the weekend, cool side projects, etc. I also enjoy designing games and applications, or blocking out short 3D animations when often I know I won't have the time to make them. It's a fun mental exercise and I write almost all of them down in my notebook just in case if find a magical pile of time later on :P
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with friends, activities may vary from parties to a bit of games of the board or video persuasion. Really isn't a typical Friday, I'm pretty go with the flow. Side effects may include staying up way to late.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I shower naked.
