I'm a scientific bachelor of Computer Science, ordained as such by some guy named Dean at UCSB. I'm geeky, but I've balanced myself out pretty well by saying things like "benchpress", "Did you watch the Laker game?", and by buying a tent at REI.

In other words, I like video games, computers, the internet, and Rubik's cubes, but also hiking, backpacking, rock-climbing, and other things I've been told guys are supposed to do.

I work full-time at a company that prevents internet fraud. But not really. That's just the only way I can make what I do sound cool.

At any rate, it's a good job that's allowed me to leave school debt-free and continues to support my need for gadgets, clever shirts, and outdoor gear.

My future plans: in the year 2000 I'll have moved to the Bay area to be closer to friends and one branch of my family. I'll be continuing to work in the technology sector, and have a dog. If GRRM would get off his ass and finish it, I'll also have read the Song of Ice and Fire series, so chiapetorbust will shut the hell up.

Proof-reading, locking my keys in my car, having phases of interest and obsessing over them, making cheese fondue, listening, and falling asleep during movies.

I used to be an avid reader, but once college hit me the only thing I read was code. My 2009 new years resolution has been to read 12 books this year to get back into it. On my reading list is A Song of Ice and Fire, Crying of Lot 49, Dante's Inferno, Lord of the Rings, and some non-fiction.

I also love James Joyce, and Kurt Vonnegut

(B) Silence of the Lambs, Network, Chinatown, Primer, 5th Element, Baron Munchausen, Monty Python, Evil Dead, Army of Darkness, even-numbered Star Trek movies.
(C) Indy rock, Classic Rock, Bluegrass, certain types of Techno or Hip-Hop, funky music. A few favorite artists: Tom Waits, Scissor Sisters, Neutral Milk Hotel, LCD Soundsystem, Daft Punk, Jackson Browne.
(D) If it weren't for my physical revulsion at celery and melon, I'd be the least-picky eater I know. I can enjoy almost anything as long as I'm full. If there's cheese on it, I'll love it. Guaranteed.

How I personally can positively change the world, my direction in life, weird questions like whether a bag would collapse if I sucked the air out of it in outer space.

At a friend's house watching some movies, playing a game, or just hanging out. I think I would like going downtown more if I wasn't a 15-minute away from it.

If there is an electronic device that will send information about myself to twitter, I will buy it without a second thought.
