My Notes edit

My self-summary

My favorite lines from V for Vendetta are:
"Is everything a joke to you?"
"Only the things that matter."

It's a good philosophy.

I spend most of my time drawing, writing, playing guitar, doing band related stuff...we have a first show coming up next month so I'm pretty pumped for that.

When I can I like to go hiking, camping, boating, etc.
Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring, doesn't matter what season.

In lieu of an actual hike my friend and I walked the approx. 3.5 miles from Forest Hills to Bellevue Hill. It's a pretty chill little spot, I recommend going there sometime if you haven't already. It's apparently the highest point in Boston, a whopping 334 ft.

I have these wide-ranging philosophical discussions with my friends, usually over a pint or a smoke (or both), and I can never remember them afterwards...it's very frustrating. I think I might just start walking around with a tape recorder strapped to my chest like Hunter S. aka Raoul Duke in Fear and Loathing, that way I can use some of my own BS and pseudo-intellectualism as writing material. Much more efficient that way...of course I also would need the Dinosaur tail.

What I'm doing with my life

working at a publishing company, writing whatever comes to mind, working on the band, assorted pursuits of the inane (I'm always striving to find that next abject absurdity), and laughing at stupid people, probably spending money on useless crap that turns out to be useful later.

I'm really good at

-Growing a beard, rambling, getting riled up over politics, drawing I suppose, guitar I would hope...

-I've been told I give a good back rub. I wouldn't know, I can't perform one on myself. Now if I could give myself a back rub, even a sub-par one, that would be a talent for the ages.

-Reading books really quickly. I read "Diary" by Chuck Palahniuk in just under 12 hours.

-I'm a decent cook I think. I've had some major successes and (up until now) only minor failures haha.

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me

beard.
hat.
the tingling sensation in their brain right before their head explodes from my sheer greatness...or maybe it's the high-pitched whine I emit as a defense mechanism when threatened. Either one is a fine explanation if you ask me.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

The six things I could never do without

books, guitar, coffee, oj, music, pen and paper (I'm counting that as one item. Ok, so I'm cheating, sue me).

Crap, I forgot about cream for the coffee...

I spend a lot of time thinking about

-World, Local, and National Politics, Social Justice, War, Poverty, Racism, Sexism...yep, my internal thought bubbles are just little bundles of joy with sugar and cherries on top.

-What I'll be like as an old man. I think I'll probably be a pretty chill one, but it remains to be seen...

-To be happy with you have you have to be happy with what you have to be happy with what you have you have to be happy with what you have to be happy with

-Rant
-Open: Collision
-Pop Song in D Major
-Chowdown
-Segue
-Dedelet (Dedelet)
-The Antithesis of That
-The Pace

On a typical Friday night I am

-out. in.
-drinking.
-jamming.
-reading.
-thinking it's Thursday.
-going to bed since it's now Saturday morning.

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here

When I was about 10 I was way into MC Hammer for some reason...I think that was a hand-me-down taste from my older cousins...

You should message me if

You want to.
You don't want to but have no self-control.
You're looking for something a bit more than a casual sex partner.
