I am optimistic, driven, and nerdy.

My Self-Summary

I'm a pretty interesting girl, who's done lots of things in life, and can't wait to continue this exciting adventure. I've met some great people through this site, but nobody with whom I'm ready to share my life.

I tend to be attracted to people with lots of energy, that set goals for themselves, that have different interests from mine, and who are well educated.

Here are a few details about me:
I've visited over a dozen countries.
I have an awesome career.
I'm addicted to learning things.
I have hobby A.D.D. but I tend to circulate between about eight different things.
I carry my camera with me almost everywhere, but rarely take pictures.
I'm a cottager more than a camper.
I like sparkly things.
I have a serious caffeine addiction (but you forgive me for this, right?).
I love classic rock and board games.
I think puns are genius.
I could die happy with sashimi and mango salad.
I smile a lot.

And now for fun, my own personal SWOT analysis:

Strengths:
Confident, happy and an excellent analogy maker
Proven capabilities in arts and crafts (painting, sculpting, crocheting, writing, baking)
Ability to sing better than peers (also play/ed several instruments)
Excellent reputation (clean criminal and health records)
Strong financial condition (stable, well-paid job with regular hours and weekends off)
Quantity of smiles leads to general happiness of surrounding populous
Superior intellectual capital compared with similar demographic group (BAH from Queen's U, two certificates from Ryerson U, pending CHRP certification)
Unusual and rare sense of humour

Opportunities:
Expanding travel destinations to meet a broader range of continental visits (potential travel partner if the life partner bit doesn't work)
Possibility of merging cottage assets (or occasional use of my facilities, I guess)
Boost competitive capacity in charades and other board games, excluding trivial pursuit
Expanding into new technological markets (ie: online dating)

Weaknesses:
Underdeveloped spider slaying skills and capability to cook for one
Inferior Meringue moves lead to sub-par impressions in public dance areas
Unable to effectively remain calm and mild-mannered on girls nights out

Threats:
Closing of datable markets/increased saturation of intellectual morons.
Fixed geographic location (have moved back to Toronto repeatedly, and plan on staying for a long time)
Shift in demographics leaves aging and limited client base (and I'm picky, I guess)

Whatever else you need to know, I'm sure you can ask. My life's an opened book that must be read one chapter at a time.

Cheers.

What I’m doing with my life

Taking more post-secondary at night because I think that more letters after my name would look sexy. Being Harper's slave (indirectly) by classifying jobs to feed my travel addiction and buy my future baby detached bungalow.

I’m really good at

making analogies, losing trivial pursuit, taking on short-term artistic projects, singing in the shower, baking, playing devil's advocate, laughing at myself, creating new goals, talking to strangers, making snowmen and sand sculptures, being one of the boys, being one of the girls, reminding people of their strengths, giving massages, keeping secrets, playing the guitar (badly), finding inspiration.

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm a bit of a nerd, and laugh a lot. I am extremely honest, opened, and you can read my face like a novel.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

The written stuff:
I read lots of different books, so I'd be hard pressed to choose just one. I'm not going to lie: I read a lot of the top ten popular this, or award-winning that (generally I find myself somewhat disappointed). I like cheesy chick-lit as well (you're excused from the book club :p ). I also tend to read a lot of business books because I like learning (or maybe it's just for the killer jargon they use).

The silver screen:
I like scary movies and psychological thrillers. This might include stuff like Dawn of the Dead, Rosemary's Baby, Fight Club, or Memento. I kind of like quirky stuff like Little Miss Sunshine and Lars and the Real Girl as well. I also like the Y-chromosome-dreading romantic comedies like Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Auditory Appeal:
I probably listen to what would qualify as an unhealthy amount of classic rock. But hey, I've been known to listen to everything from Steve Miller to Skinny Puppy or Disco to Death Metal. Some of my favourite bands might include: Portishead, Tom Waits, The Rolling Stones, and Pearl Jam.

My Tastebuds flip over:
Strawberries, anything spicy, Mango, Guinness, Pineapple, raw fish, my fried mushrooms and Key Lime Pie... Only, not all at the same time.

The six things I could never do without

I could never do without
1. music
2. mystery
3. a dictionary
4. friends/family (don't you hate this answer?!)
5. my passports
6. ambition

I spend a lot of time thinking about

How lucky I am. I'm really lucky, you know.
How badly I need to paint my toenails.
How politics affect societies.
What my next hobby will be.
How the media can change our perspectives.
The greatness of Canadian Beer.
Where I've come from and where I'm going.

On a typical Friday night I am

Out with friends, avoiding schoolwork, and maybe heading to the cottage. That or I'm sitting at home doing nothing. Sometimes that makes for a really good Friday, you know...

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I would tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.

You should message me if

You are not from the shallow end of the gene pool.
