I'm ready to get out and do something. I enjoy belly dance. I'd like to learn to Salsa. Wear some high heels. I don't like mind games. I prefer straight forward everything. But a little mystery is alright. I love salt water, but dislike any kind of murky, gunk infested water. I'm generally contemplative, but in the presence of interesting and fun individuals, I come alive. I want to travel and enjoy the ride. It's not so much about where you go, but what you do on the way. I like pretty boys with long hair. I'll talk to anyone, if they're approachable. I love learning, especially through guided participation. Interaction and communication are enjoyable ^.^ Especially when the result is a feeling of accomplishment. My favorite mammal is the tiger. I sometimes purr randomly. Please don't let that frighten you. I'm intrigued with the concept of "body painting." By that I mean, having my body painted and also painting with my body. I like seafood. I love riding the waves in any sort of sea vessel, provided it's not... canoe shaped =p I will not get into a canoe. Ever. Again. I AM afraid of spiders. I'm easily startled by anything which unexpectedly starts creeping along my flesh. I love horror films. Good ones. Sometimes cheesy ones. I love being so afraid that I jump at every sound, provided I know that I'm actually safe. I like movies where I have to cover my eyes. My musical genre of preference is "metal," generally speaking, 80's/classic. Perhaps power. A little of death/black. I'm also fond of musicals and anything I can belt along with in the car. I'll listen to anything though. I have varied interests when it comes to music. From musicals to techno to folk music to Latin soul o.o Some of my other interests include mythology (Greek, Norse, Celtic, Indian, Native American), paganism, witchcraft, paranormal (ghosts, evp, esp), anything related to magic or mysticism or the supernatural... er... demons and angels... fantasy... nature. Video games...I recently started karate in the goju ryu style. I like to watch people play video games, provided they let me play backseat =p I'm very open, and open minded. I'll answer any question, provided you can prove to me that it's not stupid. I love Neil Gaiman. And reading in general. It's Harry Potter, and not Harry Potthead. Graphic novels are lovely :D I love England and English culture. I want to move to London for a few years. Motorcycles. I would like to ride. Er... Eddie Izzard I am greatly into crafting and would love to be more into costuming, and dressing up for various events!

I am a believer in the power of the mind, but that mostly comes into play with the power of the mind over the body and over influence of others minds more so than of the mind over the environment or the laws of the natural universe.

I play Dungeons and Dragons. I am having a blast ^.^ I have even tried my hand at being a Dungeon Master :D

I am contemplative, clever, and insecure

I recently graduated with a master's degree in counselor from UF! The brains and minds of humans and other animals fascinate me, but that's not the primary reason I "joined up." I wanted to get a healthy understanding for why I do the things I do, why I feel so messed up most of the time (feel less messed up after completing my program and engaging in counseling myself :) ;) ), and also to foster an understanding for why people do, and are capable of doing, such horrible things to themselves and others.

I enjoy Middle Eastern Belly Dance and am in the process of locating a troupe to learn from and dance with, but it is proving costly and difficult. I was trying my body at Karate for awhile. Due to my work hours, after work activities are proving limited :(

I am always searching for new exciting and/or rewarding experiences! (and now, especially, activities that can be completed between 2:30pm and 7:00pm =p)

I'm really good at remembering phone numbers, the locations of objects misplaced (by others, not myself necessarily), and I'm also good at picking out names for cats.

I'm also a passing good cook. I don't often screw recipes up, and the results are usually pretty tasty.

I think I am really good with kids, but I could be deluding myself. I just enjoy being around them, and so it feels like they enjoy being around me =p

I am also really good at wire art, specifically making fairy wings >.>

Physically? The first thing people usually make remarks about are either my beautifully executed make-up designs or the length (and apparently, the softness) of my hair. I do not know, however, if these are the things people actually notice first.

With regards to my personality? How sweet and helpful I am! Appearances can be so deceiving O.O;

Or if I am being self-critical, it could be my weight, my "bad skin", or an uninterested expression on my face. (I am not uninterested, that's just what my face looks like in a neutral resting state, I guess =/) Also, when stressed, I whine and complain a lot =p Noisily.

Books: Fantasy novels (mostly urban fantasy), graphic novels. Some of my favorite authors are Terry Pratchett, Guy Gavriel Kay, Mercedes Lackey, Neil Gaiman, J.K. Rowling. I enjoy reading books from genres I've never really experienced before.

Some good books which have floated into my memory: Necroscope, Neverwhere, Thud, Beggars in Spain, The Spirit Ring Eragon Eldest Septimus Heap Love's Executioner Twilight

Movies: Primarily Scifi/fantasy/thriller. I don't enjoy gross physical humor such as that in American Pie. I do like clever comedies, or comedy dramas. Anything clever, really o.o I like to laugh, and I like to hide my eyes at the scary bits =p A recent favorite is Breakfast on Pluto.

I tend not to like movies with willowy blonds as the "romantic lead", but I'm sure there are some exceptions out there.

Music: Metal (80's/classic/power/death/black)... but really anything. From Indian to Gregorian monks chanting... Jazz?

Random Bands: Judas Priest, Obituary, Dio, The Beatles, PJ Harvey, Sublime, GreenDay, Gravedigger, Saxon, Killing Miranda, London After Midnight, This Mortal Coil, Rhapsody, Garth Brooks, Ella Fitzgerald, La Lupe, Buffy Once More With Feeling

Food: I like food. I don't know if I could choose a favorite food, but I think one food that I would only turn down if I was physically ill would have to be a well prepared, tender juicy steak. Homemade burritos are pretty good, as is coconut jasmine rice, fresh California rolls, Italian sausage pizza from Five Star and steamed broccoli with garlic and I Can't Believe It's Not Butter... Spray. Gosh, I love broccoli. It's my favorite vegetable, for sure. Unless you count soy beans as a vegetable... those are pretty tasty too.

And EDDIE IZZARD. He has to be in here somewhere. Very clever comedian.

I spend a lot of time thinking, full stop. About anything and everything. Generally, goals which I wish to reach. I spend a little time before bed each night, fantasizing. And I mean, just thinking imaginatively. Not necessary like... Tarzan and Jane kind of stuff.

I am probably at a friend's house playing Rock Band, Trivial Pursuit, or Dungeons and Dragons. Some of the activities I can commonly be found enjoying are watching television or movies, playing video games, or running around the city. If I am not out with friends, I am at home watching tv/reading/playing online or trying to learn to sew or something like that.

I can't think of anything I keep secret. Anything is fair game.
