What I’m doing with my life
I just got my degree from UCSC, and am looking for an apartment in San Francisco (which I need to find before I leave for Japan on the 9th). When I get back, I'll be starting work at Google and hopefully starting a new (enjoyable) chapter of my life.

Longer term, I have no idea what I'll end up doing. Maybe see if I can make a business out of one of my ideas, or spend some time making a really solid "musical gloves v2". I have hundreds of ideas and the world has infinite opportunities.

The most important thing, to me, is that I'm doing something interesting. And I hope I can make a positive impact on the world, too.
The first things people usually notice about me
My hair. People usually notice it at a distance.

The six things I could never do without
Short Answer:
1. Notebook & pen
2. Friends
3. Music
4. Internet
5. Good food
6. Rain

Long answer:
Excluding things I need to live, I think these things would be enough for me to be happy. I could live without them, and would certainly try my best independent of the circumstances, but I think I'd have a hard time being happy without any of the following:

1. Something to write with/on, or otherwise record ideas.
2. Some resources to try things (be it a computer to run programs on, the previously mentioned paper to do math with, a big empty island to try to escape from / survive on, or whatever else).
3. A person to talk to.
4. Some music (humming or imagining sound is probably enough).

There are probably more, but I can't think of them right now.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
...how we could build a better society starting from the ground up.

...the chance we'll meet (or at least confirm the existence of) aliens in my lifetime.

...how cool it is that we've actually sent stuff (including people!) into space. We've been to the moon for fuck's sake!

...how people are bunches of atoms that sometimes think about atoms.

...what I should make for dinner.

...how we could build a better society starting from where we are now.
On a typical Friday night I am
Reading, listening to music, on the Internet, or chilling with friends. If I'm out, I'll be at a concert or getting good food.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
The most private thing I'm willing to admit on OkCupid can hardly be considered "private" at all.
