I am smart, funny, and kind.
My Self-Summary
I am smart, kind, usually very nice, I will make you smile and I am
always polite. I need to work on modesty, but at least I have
honesty down pat. I am looking for someone to have fun times with
that is interesting to talk to and be around. I don't get to know
people easily, but once I do, I am definitely a good person to know
in just about any situation.
For me, fun has a very wide definition. Fun could mean
going out to
eat, going
hiking,
working out,
cooking, trying something new, having a
great
conversation, going to the
park (especially when there is a concert of
some sort there!), walking the
dogs, or just about anything else
interesting. I have been well convinced in my life that there is
just no point in wasting life on things that don't make us and
others happy.
What I’m doing with my life
I manage the engineering department at a company that makes
products used to train animals, which is a very interesting and
demanding job that I enjoy. I am working on starting some
businesses of my own, which I hope will open lots of other
opportunities for me. I am trying very hard to be a good dad and
succeeding at it for the most part! I am committed to making a
positive difference in as many people's life's as I can and using
the gifts I have to their fullest advantage. I am recently trying
my hand at being vegan - and becoming very informed in the process!

I’m really good at
Working with and fixing computers, training others, being silly,
learning new things quickly, cooking, getting things done, making
people laugh (or so I think), solving problems.
The first things people usually notice about me
My intelligence. Sometimes my eyes. My vestigial tail...
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I can read, watch or listen to just about anything, enjoy it, and
learn something new from it. I am currently reading books about
self improvement, weight lifting, and psychology. I like to have
three or four books going at the same time and I read every chance
I get. I subscribe to National Geographic, Make and Scientific
American and read them regularly. I will read almost anything given
the opportunity.
I like lots of different movies and genres of movies. Comedy is one
of my favorites. I like movies like 300 and Sin City. I also like
documentaries, nature specials and things like that. I am a fan of
The Office, 30 Rock and some other shows from time to time. I like
British humor from Monty Python to the I.T. Crowd. Python literacy
is more or less a must in my family. I am well acquainted with who
exactly lives in a pineapple under the sea... I have enjoyed many
foreign films that I have seen. I love watching karate movies with
my son.
Musically, I am O.K. with most kinds of music, with particular soft
spots for 80's and 90's rock and metal (I was in a few bands during
my teens and early twenties, mostly playing drums), classical, and
techno. The playlist on my Zune has every kind of music imaginable.
You want to listed to the current top forty songs in South East
Asia? I'm your man! My iPod on the other hand, has more audio books
than music. Pretty dorky, but I am really big on learning new
things! I have in my house lots of percussion instruments, a nice
electric drum set, an old but great Roland keyboard, an electric
guitar and various other musical diversions.
The six things I could never do without
My kids, books, family, music, a sense of accomplishment, friends.
More or less in that order, but the order and the list are somewhat
subject to change without notice.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Everything! I think a lot about business and new business ideas
these days, both for my day job and for my own enterprises. What I
want or need to learn next. How I can help and improve the
circumstances of my family, friends, the world at large and myself.
Where I am headed in the world and reaffirming that this is where I
want to go.
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably at home. Maybe out fixing a computer for someone.
Sometimes out with friends. Occasionally, at the park after a nice
meal.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I have a habit of thinking that many random things people say would
make good names for bands. Like if someone says, "That nasty soup
made me feel all bloated." I can't help but comment that "Bloated
Soup" would be an excellent name for a punk band.
You should message me if
You think we would get along and you want to get to know the "real"
me...
