I am unfettered, nocturnal, and skeptical.

My Self-Summary

I was long ago afflicted with the travel bug and I don't expect my love of travel to diminish any time soon. I'm recently back in the states after spending a year living on a tiny Japanese island in the middle of the pacific. I would love to live on or visit every continent before I die. Next up is South America.

I have a variety of interests but lately it seems like science, politics, and music dominate. I'm very interested in new technology and scientific progress, but at the same time I like to leave it all behind.

I've spent too much time away from the mountains and now I'm ready to get back into the outdoor activities the mountains are best for.

Essentially I'd like to meet someone who is educated, active, adventurous, and who loves music and travel. Whether it's snowshoeing, seeing a show, or setting foot in a new country for the first time, having someone to do it with makes it that much better.

What I’m doing with my life

Not really sure yet. I'd love to figure this out sometime soon.

I’m really good at

Recalling meaningless facts and forgetting the important ones.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Book: Stranger in Strange Land, Movie: Red, TV Show: Lost, Band: Animal Collective. In general favorite things include: Mountains, Travel, and Trivia.

Really though, I find I don't have the attention span anymore for movies. Inevitably I read about 7 science fiction books for every non science fiction book. It's a weakness.

The six things I could never do without

The Internet. (I actually can, its just really hard)
Cheese.
Books.
Sunlight.
Travel.
Music.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Space.
Politics.
Tomorrow.
Old Buildings.

On a typical Friday night I am

Hopefully having a drink or dinner with people I like. Perhaps a grill is involved. Definitely sitting outside if the weather is nice.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I already admitted I read science fiction so I'll go with "I'm afraid of flying."

You should message me if

You like to travel, hate 96% of new buildings, and ride a bicycle.
