My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
People say I have a friendly and outgoing demeanor. Talking with neighbors, friends and new acquaintances comes naturally to me. I like hearing about what is happening with others' lives such as an exciting upcoming trip, enhancements to their homes or gardens, favorite place to ride their bikes, hike, walk and more.
I am compassionate, energetic, friendly, honest, independent and humorous at times. I read newspapers, periodicals and a book everyday.

I have a generous and giving side to domestic help, my adult daughters, those in hospitality and select organizations. My family has and always will be important to me. I am an optimist and believe conditions will always get better.

Being in good health has been important to me for over 20 years. Since my retirement as a software developer and security administrator I exercise and train at a fitness facility three times per week. I have a healthful diet and try to get as much organic food as I can. I feel terrific being in good physical shape and have made fitness a lifetime commitment.

I want to meet a woman who is in good health, takes care of herself, can inspire me with her knowledge, curious about a lot of things, has an adventurous spirit, share in some of the same interests, likes to have fun, who is thoughtful, caring and helpful, comfortable with her life and wants to share in the joy of a relationship that will grow.

I live an active life that is filled with adventure, excitement, fun and travel.
The outdoor world has been a big part of my life whether it be summer or winter. I take pleasure going for a bike ride; walking in a forest preserve, park, or conservation area; hiking in beautiful terrain. There are lasting memories and stories of areas I have visited throughout our country during my travels and there is more to come in the future.

Other areas of interest are cooking, art shows, discovering something new at a museum, CSO concerts at Ravinia, movies, photography, picnics in serene settings, reading and wine tasting.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My love of nature and the outdoor world, being physically fit, my two grown daughters, knowledge, being healthy, meeting and talking with people, cinnamon on my cereal, black and green tea, travel, and freedom to enjoy life.

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Mostly the day at hand and the fun that will be had on a near future vacation.
On a typical Friday night I am
