My self-summary
West coast farm girl, transplanted to DC by way of a couple other states and countries.

Although I'm an office drone, I have an unrequited love for archaeology and playing in the dirt. I probably spent too much time watching Indiana Jones as a kid, and still I enjoy shouting "it belongs in a museum!" I spent most of my childhood jumping through Indian ruins and digging up pottery and arrowheads.

As would become obvious in the first 5 minutes of meeting, I love museums and libraries. Like any aspiring eccentric, I study languages in my free time. So far, I have a passing familiarity with about 4 languages, and can read a couple dead languages. You know, for fun-sies.
What I’m doing with my life
I do that "work" thing, which I am awesome at, and generally enjoy.

I'm marking off my favorite travel destinations (New Orleans!), finding new ones (Scotland, anyone?), and maintaining a healthy obsession with treasure maps. Learning about farms and agriculture, and wandering around Ace Hardware.

Hmm, in my free time, I enjoy cooking and especially baking. And I read a lot. Like really guys, I love a good book. I think it would be great if people could buy each other books at a bookstore the same way they do drinks in a bar. That would be *this* much fun (I know you can't see the hand motion: bars are like -this- much fun, bookstores are *this* much fun).

Oh, I also have this thing about Vikings: they are awesome. Pirates are too, but I already have enough books about them. It's time to learn more about Vikings.
I’m really good at
well, all things. Buahaha, just kidding!

So lets say I'm really good at all fun things: adventuring, questing, and team sports. Geocaching!
The first things people usually notice about me
I have waist-length, wildly curly, strawberry-blonde hair. It's like something you'd expect to see in the wild. Or as part of an invading party of Vikings (see? Vikings are awesome!).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Although the library at Alexandria may have burned down, I've done my best to recreate it in the limited space of my apartment. I love sharing book recommendations and if you have any suggestions, drop me a line!

Movies: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, the Mummy, Indiana Jones, Ghostbusters, James Bond flicks, Jurassic Park, campy 80s movies

Music: Stuff my dad raised me on: Boston, AC/DC, and Kansas.
My guilty pleasure is country music (Pistol Annies, Luke Bryan, Lee Bryce, and The Marshall Tucker Band). My go-to playlist is Florence + the Machine, Mumford and Sons, Ludovico Einaudi, and The Federal Hillbillies.

Shows: Anything with a solid storyline! I'm always looking for something to cuddle up and enjoy.

Food: everything.
The six things I could never do without
1. My sisters
2. The rest of my family
3. Access to books
4. My dog, Baloo, aka, he-who-thinks-he-is-human
5. A home I'm comfortable relaxing in
6. Friends to share good times with
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Treasure, farming, foreign languages, dinosaurs, history, caves, and food. Hmmm, disaster preparedness (including the zomboidal variety. Especially after watching The Walking Dead.)
On a typical Friday night I am
slaying vampires.

Or drinking a glass of wine with some big band tunes on the gramophone. Villain things.
