I am geeky, unconventional, and lazy.

My Self-Summary

Hello. I'm living and studying in High Wycombe, when I'm not back home in Cheshire to see family. I've been a Zen Buddhist for about 5 years now, and have a complicated relationship with God, but you know, don't sweat the small stuff. Love everyone and whatnot. I'm quite a geek, being a fan of video games, comics and other things, but I still enjoy trashy TV, yay for Buffy, or more specifically Willow/Tara. Bless. I'm mostly just trying to kick back and enjoy life whilst I am still young.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm taking a break from University, in the middle of a course transfer from Advertising to Creative Writing.

Currently working on my writing, as a contributor to the Bam! Kapow! website, and trying to experience a bit more from life.
I spend a lot of time reading and trying to keep up with current affairs for inspiration.

I'm also planning to travel in the near future, hopefully seeing more of Europe, and attending some events, like the London Expo with college friends.

I’m really good at

I'm quite good at making random connections between facts, or come up with some odd trivia that's usually only barely relevant.

I like to cook, although I'm not amazing, I'm told I can cook a really good curry and stir fry. I like simplicity but good taste in food.

I like to learn new things, like at the moment I'm trying to learn to juggle properly, and using devil sticks, which I'm improving at. :)

I'm a complete geek and proud of it. Video games are such a great medium for interactive storytelling, I do love a good plot. I used to be good at Wii Sports, but I've lost my knack :(

The first things people usually notice about me

Hrm, I think that would depend on where people meet me! Try not to meet me in stairwells, I'm usually jumping down them. I have a habit of wearing distinctive and often geeky t-shirts which grabs your attention first.
Oh and my hair is red again, that's quite noticeable.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books- I will devour anything that is in printed form, whether that's magazines, books, comics or the back of cereal boxes. Although I'm quite fond of Terry Pratchett, Jeffrey Deaver, Ryu Murakami and comics, particularly Runaways, anything by Gail Simone.

Films- I'm not usually much of a cinema goer unless I get dragged by mates or I am desperate to see something- but I do like Sci-Fi, Thriller, Comedy and of course Lesbian films. Some good examples of late are that I went to see In Bruges, which wasn't bad, but the mix of comedy to drama didn't feel right. Courtesy of my geeky routes, I've seen Iron Man recently a few times, amazing film, and The Dark Knight, I am one of those rare people who is a bit 'meh' about Ledger's performance, but it's more of an issue with the writing. I can't wait for the upcoming Runaways film.

Music- My taste is music is rather eclectic, I can't say I really favour or dislike too much, but I do lean towards pieces with strong vocals or composition. I seem to stay quite fond of Regina Spektor, Muse, Gackt, Jonathan Coulton and some Classical music. I've developed a horrible obsession for Tegan and Sara and Shiina Ringo again lately.

Food- As aforementioned, I like quite simplistic food but with a bit of taste. Currys but not too hot, I'm quite fond of pasta, and traditional roast dinners, particularly my Mum's, nothing beats a good home cooked meal. I have an obsession with M&M's, they're amazing.

The six things I could never do without

1. A graphics tablet. A mouse just isn't the same anymore. 2. Post it notes. I like to be organised. 3. A watch. I'm hopeless at telling the time otherwise. 4. Cam Clarke's autograph. It reminds me of one of my favourite days so far. 5. My DS. It's horribly addictive. 6. Pockets. I'm not much for bags.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Lately it seems to be what I'm doing, and where I'm going in life. I'm not quite sure. Although I'm never quite sure of anything. I also think about a lot of random things, like whether everyone really ever sees the same thing, or whether pineapples really can take off your fingerprints.

On a typical Friday night I am

I can't profess to ever having had the Friday night attitude. It's just another day of the week really.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

It's not very private if you mention it online, is it? I'll just say, ears can be sexy. That's random enough.

You should message me if

If you're in the area, and feel like talking to me. Or if you feel like it in general. I don't mind usually.
