My self-summary
I can spend hours getting lost in a Powell's book store, and like a moth to a flame, I gravitate to the nearest piano in a room. Tickling the ivories is one of my favorite ways to let off steam and express my artistic bent. I'm drawn to poetry as well to express ideas, sentiments, and, more than that, to play with words so that they are made to dance and jump through hoops. My engagement with words is such, I sometimes cull inspiration from Frost, E. E. Cummings, or the like; and pen my own originals, when the muse strikes. I sometimes share what I write at open mics, and occasionally play piano at a club with Classical Revolution.
I was fortunate to spend some of my formative years abroad in Italy and Switzerland. That experience has given me a store house of amusing stories. One of my favorites was the time my parents dropped me off for a two week basketball camp in Zurich and only after they left did I discover the sole language spoken at this retreat was Swiss German, of which I understood zilch.
If my friends describe me as a quieter, intellectual type, that would be right, I think; yet they would also tell you I am no stodgy dusty bookworm. Going out on the town with friends, hosting dinner parties ,films, concerts and theater fill my time when not studying or working
