My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am--among other diverse things--a writer at heart, a frequent traveler of the world, a lover of conversation, a drinker of coffee, a reader of books, a musician of sorts. I was raised in Portland; I also lived in Switzerland, most interestingly, however. I loved it traveling in Europe and would return in a heart beat.
I enjoy riding bikes; cooking delicious meals; playing music or games, like scrabble; hosting dinner parties for friends; getting lost in new wildernesses, whether it be of cities or woods.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Wrapping up my degree—English Literature & Writing major—selecting a potential grad school, working on my art and making ends meet. I am grateful to have a job I do enjoy; I sell organic beans at farmers' markets and so on.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Finding hilarity in most all situations Writing sometimes poetry and sometimes prose, when inspired
Remembering faces and not names half as well
Hosting dinner parties and the like for friends
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My hat (if I'm wearing it of course)
I listen well
I am fairly down to earth, intelligent, and have a good sense of humor
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The future, what book to read or film to watch next, why certain things haven't been invented yet, the latest project to gratify my literary ambition and creative side, the people in my life, how to keep growing and creating, bettering myself and my quality of life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Convening with friends, perhaps, going out on the town for a few drinks, a witty play, a foreign film or a live indie concert; writing, writing, writing (sometimes for a submission, and then never without polishing till the last hour I confess; who knows what else?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
When only in grammar-school, my parents sent me to a basketball camp in Switzerland ; they assured me that though I should find myself far from home, the staff would be American. Well, to camp I went, and you may be sure, I expected to hear the all too familiar salutations on my arrival there ; but what was my surprise and disappointment, when, instead of this, I was obliged to answer a multitude of questions by a universal shrug, and follow a stream of instructions without being able to decipher word one of the language spoken. The whole camp spoke only Swiss German.
How I managed to survive the long summer which proceeded, you shall hear, when I find myself disposed to write.
