PLEASE READ MY PROFILE IN ITS ENTIRETY BEFORE CONTACTING ME.
I find myself on this site and a couple others (truth in advertising) because my job in the Army is demanding of my time. I am hoping to find someone who I can hang out with after work or on the weekends. I am not looking for something solely physical. That could be resolved with a trip downtown. Instead, I am looking for someone that I can connect to: laughing, crying, arguing, watching a little football (College-Oregon Ducks and Missouri Tigers, NFL-Kansas City Chiefs), having a beer, singing or listening to karaoke, running a 10K here and there and doing a little P90X. I am not getting any younger and I desire a life beyond work.
I am a simple man with simple tastes. But, simplicity does not indicate a lack of intellect or a desire to sit around with my hands down my pants. My definition of simplicity means I appreciate what I have, enjoy the little things and live a life of no regrets. In the winter, strong ales, warm blankets and nice wool cap and a cup of coffee to warm my hands and my spirit. Spring brings about cheap camping beer, the NFL draft, running in the rain, and the rebirth of mind, body and soul. Summer is about windows down, radio up, road trips and baseball. Autumn is my favorite time of the year because of amber ales, sweatshirts, my favorite jeans and October is my birthday.
So what the important things.
My God. I am not the religious type. It has been said that “Religion is the opiate of the masses” - Karl Marx. If that is the case, I do not want my mind numb to the aspects of life that science cannot explain. I believe that God gave us an inquisitive mind to question Him, His existence, and of whether His promises are true. I have found God to be true and every man be a liar. And although I fall short, I know where my strength lies.
My Sisters. It is just us now and I live 12 hours away. I must do better to communicate with them on a regular basis
My Work. Not because it is work, but because we train close to 880 civilians to become infantrymen each year. I take my roll seriously as the executive officer to do whatever needed to fulfill this mission
My Relationships. Friends are important and I have realized that growing up does not mean you have to grow old. Friends are needed to keep life light and comical at times when you just want to shut down. I love all of my friends and I could not have gotten through life without the help of them.
What am I looking for? I don't have a preference of type. I just desire an attractive woman of faith. Is that too much to ask? Looks are in the eye of the beholder and if I find you attractive, I will say so. As for the things one cannot see, humility and grace are beautiful and confidence is downright sexy. What I truly enjoy is the woman that can tell me no. There is a reason it goes Woman as in Whoa Man! A few other things: Working out is important and being able to sit and read and be at peace with the silence goes a long way. Being comfortable in your own skin will have me at hello.
You made it all the way to this point. So, you might as well send me a message and let's start the process of getting to know each other. This would be the awkward moment at the bar, party, library, supermarket, or local coffee house were both of us would be eyeing each other and wondering if a move should be made. I will make deal with you. If I find you attractive, I will message you. If you find me the least bit interesting, make your way across the dance floor.
NOTE! If you are going to contact me, please have a picture. Starting any kind of correspondence with one party knowing what the other looks like sets up an unequal yoke that isn't fair for each party. Also, as I have stated before, I work crazy hours. If I don't reply immediately, it isn't that I am ignoring you. I just haven't been able to reply. I use the OKC app (iPhone for life) so although it may seem that I am online all the time, that is not the case.
Finally, for all you women that state you are looking for a nice guy, I would like to quote the great Optimus Prime. "We are here. We are waiting."
