My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I’ve lived in Oregon most of my life, love the outdoorsy stuff and can laugh at almost anything and everything. Taking a walk along the waterfront or hiking up South Sister are must-dos for me as well as skiing, trips to the beach, camping and biking. I’m not an obnoxious Portland foodie, but I love trying new tastes and flavors. One night will be dinner at Five Guys eating something greasy and delectable and the next night I’ll be enjoying Tappas at Andina. I’m sort of obsessive about dessert too and just can’t help myself to a good strawberry rhubarb buckle with almond praline ice cream, one of my favorites. So why does everyone on here say they’re laid back and easy going…is it bad not to be? I’m also an extremely loyal person and prefer deeper friendships. The one anti-Portland aspect about me is that I love driving; there is something visceral and exciting about moving way too fast on a curvy road. I’m pretty ambitious and driven but also genuinely love and care about others and want to see them succeed at whatever they do. I love watching movies, especially the ones that make you think or laugh. I do a fair amount of traveling and although the “sitting on the beach” trip has its place, I much prefer the sightseeing vacations. I’m pretty active and work out 3-4 times per week.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working a professional job in financial services - It’s definitely one of those intense, career-type jobs but I secretly kind of love it and couldn’t see myself doing anything different. You’ll have to ask me more about it. Otherwise, getting the most out of weekends through happy hours, shows, the outdoors and wine tasting.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Tripping on flat sidewalks, avoiding traffic tickets, remembering random lines to movies and awkwardly inserting them in sentences (is this douchy enough LOL), laughing about and discussing politics.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes and cheesy smile

Favorite Book: Pillars of the Earth and pretty much anything else by Ken Follet, Michael Crichton or Dan Brown. Also books about political or social issues that I care about.

Favorite Movies: Goodfellas, Lord of the Rings, Apocalypto, Indiana Jones, Anything James Bond, Back to the Future, The Bourne series, Chevy Chase Christmas Vacation, Dumb and Dumber, Borat, Meet the Parents, Something About Mary, Paranormal Activities, Robin Hood Men In Tights, Office Space, Old School, Valkeryie, LA Confidential, The Sound of Music, are you seriously still reading this list….

Shows: The Big Bang Theory, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Family Guy, Top Gear (British version), the food network, Seinfeld, Simpsons, Band of Brothers

Music: I tend to listen to top 40 stuff but enjoy just about everything, including rap, jazz, pop, classic rock and, everyone once in a while, even country. A little sample of my favorite artists: Usher, Linkin Park, Michael Jackson, Maroon 5, Calvin Harris, Bruce Springsteen, Rascal Flats, Rolling Stones, Dave Matthews Band, 50 cent, Lil Wayne, John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Righteous Brothers.

Food: Blue Hour, Andina, Seasons and Regions, Ringside, Portland City Grill happy hour, Stanfords, Papa Hayden’s are some of my favorite restaurants. I like trying new tastes and flavors but deep down will always love a good burger and fries. Otherwise, the list includes sushi, Thai food, classic steak houses, South American, fresh northwest, Italian and Indian.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Friends, My dog Abby, Hamburgers, Nordstrom rack, any Apple product and desserts (is it weird I have 2 food items on this list?)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What I’m doing this weekend and is it here yet? Planning my next vacation…
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Totally depends on my week at work – out to dinner with friends and maybe even a little dancing afterwards or I can be the homebody watching a movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Lousy dancer LOL! No seriously, I am just awful but I'm okay with it.

Definitely the professional guy with a good head on their shoulders is quite the turn-on. But utlimately, I like people who have depth, who care about the world around them and want to make it better and who are a little adventerous and can still laugh about themselves.
