My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm kind and caring. I try to always be "real" with everyone. I look for that trait when establishing relationships with new friends and significant others. It's important to me. I'm rarely, if ever, dishonest or cruel. I try to do what is best or most beneficial for myself and others (hopefully that makes sense).

I have a passion for learning. In fact, most of what I do in my life I view as a learning experience. I think you can learn something from most anything you do.

I was a philosophy minor. I'm a deep thinker and I wouldn't have it any other way. I love having deep and meaningful conversations. Surface-level conversation kind of annoys me.

I am very passionate about writing and art in its many forms. Poetry is one of my favorite mediums of expression. I love listening to music. I don't think I could live without music (I tried it once just to see what would happen...not good). I enjoy going to art museums and finding the beauty in nature. I enjoy visiting museums (you can learn a lot when you visit a museum:)

Yes, I'm kind of a nerd, but I'm a nerd that loves to hang out and have fun with friends. I'm pretty well liked by most people. There are not too many people in this world that I can't get along with. I just try to be sincere while being respectful of other cultures and beliefs.

Other things of interest:
I don't mind making a fool of myself if it's for a good cause.

I collect instruments.

I love running long distances.

I love furniture stores and visit them frequently.

I have a burning passion for journalism.

I'm very interested in travel, but I have not traveled extensively.

I have a pretty decent and, without a doubt, unique sense of humor.

I'm kind of aggressive, I'm an idealist, and I'm determined. I don't give up and I rarely, if ever, break promises.

I've often been told that I'm too polite.

For me, intelligence is a huge turn-on:)

I'm looking for someone with follow-through to share my interests/passions with:)

I am Intelligent, Honest, and Passionate.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I get a lot of compliments on my writing abilities. I'm also really good at asking questions. I enjoy reporting facts. I'm a good journalist and, I would say, a good teacher. I'm pretty good at reaching difficult students.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I get a lot of compliments on my eyes and my smile.

This is a summary. It is by no means a comprehensive report:)

Books: Handmaid's Tale, Song of Solomon (by Toni Morrison), Their Eyes Were Watching God, Rebecca, Great Expectations (Abridged Version...I'm working on the Unabridged Version), The Color Purple, Heart of Darkness, A. P. History Textbook (It's been a while, but I remember that I really enjoyed reading for my A. P. History class), I'm sure there are more...

Poetry: Meeting at Night (Browning), Bereft (Frost), We Real Cool (Brooks),
Annabelle Lee (Poe), The Raven (Poe), pretty much anything by Shakespeare or Poe

Plays: Romeo and Juliet (kind of. I taught it for so long last semester that I'm not sure whether I like it or just can't get it out of my brain), Twelfth Night, Welcome to the Monkey House (based on Kurt Vonnegut's book by the same name)

Movies: The Matrix (Trilogy), Indiana Jones (Movies), My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Fever Pitch, Cider House Rules, many of Adam Sandler's movies

Music (I LOVE MUSIC): Oldies, Rock, Some Country, Some Rap, R&B/Pop... I'm looking for more Indie Stuff, Music from different cultures, Show tunes... Music is like a culture adventure for me. I listen to different things to expand my mind. Favs include but are not limited to... Eagles, Chicago, Eric Clapton, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks, Santana, Steve Miller Band, Rob Thomas, Matchbox Twenty, Maroon 5, Dave Matthews, Coldplay, Gloria Estefan (in English and Spanish), Sting (what an amazing and diverse artist), Shania Twain, Michael Buble, Missy Elliot (from Portsmouth:), Sean Paul, Kanye West, Evita soundtrack, Phantom of the Opera soundtrack, Kyler England, I listened to Daft Punk the other day, and I like them too. The list just doesn't end:)

Food: I like food (ha ha). I try to expand my knowledge of the world by trying foods from various cultures. But Italian is my favorite:) I'm craving Thai at the moment:)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I could never live without: God; Love from family and friends; Art in its Many Forms: Music, Visual Art, Poetry, etc.; the Beauty in Nature; Exercise=Running mostly; and Adventure: Travel, Randomness, Freedom of Expression, Philosophical Conversations, Learning. Yeah, I made it all fit as six;) I'm sure there's more.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend a lot of time thinking about different philosophies (which pretty much encompasses everything), the meaning of life, how to better myself, and how to fix the world.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I spend a typical Friday night hanging out with friends or working.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My apartment tends to cycle between clean and cluttered. Right now it's cluttered:/

Contact me if you like some of my qualities and want to get to know me better. I am interested in forming friendships and long-time (hopefully lifelong), love relationships.

If you are a down to earth, serious, patient, and loving person, I would love to hear from you. Having a sense of humor is a plus. If you are a creative, outside of the box kind of thinker, if you are honest, if you are loyal, if you love learning, if you love travel, if you have a respect for nature, if you have a great respect for the arts (and/or you are an artist), if you enjoy sunsets and being spontaneous, if you enjoy thought provoking conversation, if you can respect my need for all of these things, if you have hobbies of your own and can give me some time and space to myself, if some or most of these items apply, I'd love to hear from you.
