Being alive is pretty awesome. There are so many fun things to do, neat people to meet and amazing places to see. I grew up in beautiful New England where I learned to love fresh air, the great outdoors and the changing of the seasons. I like to ski downhill & backcountry, play ultimate frisbee, practice yoga, run, watch live music, try to play a variety of instruments, have conversation about meaningful & trivial topics, smile and laugh. I'm hoping to fit some rock climbing and white water kayaking into my near future. I'm active, but fit plenty of time for relaxation in my life too. Ideally, I'd like to find a lady who enjoys these these activities and is adventurous enough to try new ones too. Life is more fun when you've got a good friend by your side!

I've been out in Portland for about a year, and have had fun wandering through this funky city & meeting it's eccentric inhabitants. Lately, I've been exploring the NorthWest as a region a bit more, and am starting to develop a huge crush on the Deschutes/Sisters Wilderness regions. I had a great summer hiking and backpacking all around there. I'm employed as an Optical Engineer, which means that I spend my workdays playing with photons and lasers.

It's so variable. I could be playing frisbee, hopping in my pickup truck and driving somewhere to hike or ski in the morning, relaxing with a book, grabbing a beer with friends, dancing to some funky music, watching a classic film, going to a concert, or something completely different.
