My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a grad student, I'm getting a PhD, I do grad studenty things and love a nerdy life tempered with adventure and a pinch of frivolous fun.

I'm looking for someone who has some serious life goals, but also knows how to kick back and and not take life too seriously.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Recently I just accepted a job offer as a School Psychologist in Northwestern CT, so pretty happy I get to spend the summer enjoying myself versus desperately seeking employment, WOO!

Currently I'm enrolled as a graduate student in School Psychology at Uconn. I also work for the university information technology department and am an intern at a CT high school.

I dedicate myself to helping people, particularly children with serious emotional needs. It truly is energizing to find a way to turn people's stress and despair into security and contentment.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking, Scrabble, Photography, Trivia, thought experiments, other games, listening (its part of the job description), etc.

I can find enjoyment in just about anything, However if I had to pick a talent that I have, its likely my ability to speak and connect with others, in everything from conversation, listening, understanding, all the way to that I have been told I have a good "Radio Voice".
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I like casual conversation and am very easy to meet and get to know, an open book if the time, place, and person suits it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I tend to read sci-fi/fantasy, however lately I've been rarely reading for fun with school and all.

I'll listen to just about anything, other than really 'murica Country Music and tasteless misogynistic pro-crime and pro-materialism music.

As far as food goes I love new things so I'll try anything...once. I experiment well, but can't promise it will grow on me.

So in sum, I'm willing to give almost anything a shot, but I can't promise I'll like it, just that I'll give it a fair chance... usually lol
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Barring the obvious such as food, air, and social contact with others...

My Family (We're very close)
My Computer
My Iphone
Games & Puzzles
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Mostly school these days ...

Other than that I really enjoy cosmology (the nature of the universe, not make-up/hair etc., just clarifying), and other natural sciences.

Also thinking a lot about how and where to use all the things I've acquired over the years as potential hobbies and then got to busy to really use them to their potential.

Also lately I've been playing a card game again from my childhood semi-competitively with some success and it has rekindled my love of the game so its nice to have an old hobby you love and have all the pieces already ;)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Looking for fun and new things to do, but I often times enjoy a relaxed evening at home.

In all honesty a movie night, video games with friends, laser tag, bowling, or just getting coffee and ice cream at Denny's works for me most nights. Though I might be easily convinced to gallivant around Boston or other interesting cities or take a drive through the New England country side looking for weird things to experience like hidden diners and weird historical sites.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I'm imperfect, it might not sound like something interesting to reveal, but I find that it is often a hard thing to admit for people.
