Greetings from the land of Amazonia.
I enjoy my life very much. I like exploring inside my brain and
outside in the world, reading and book stores, animals of all
kinds, cafes and cupcakes, live shows, storytelling, haunted
houses, Halloween, Carnivale, Rome, nice restaurants/cheap eats,
burlesque, Coney Island, history, horseback riding, scuba diving,
running when I'm not injured, antique jewelry and of course, family
I don't believe in the "you complete me" theory of love, it's a
marketing ploy and just not the way human beings are designed to
function. Rather, there are some people who are just energetically
and biologically suited to bring out really cool things in each
other. And, if you're careful to work on yourself enough that you
don't just end up repeating patterns and you're not in a rush, you
have a shot at finding an ally, lover and friend. And to me, the
point of finding this person is that you have adventures together
that are more wonderful than you could have apart. This is the
theory that I am betting my life on, at any rate. I do believe in
love though, in case you were wondering--the soul moving, strange
I am, by the way, a great respecter of masculinity and men. Your
sense of duty and honor, protectiveness towards women and desire to
create and serve are really wondrous and don't often get the credit
they deserve. So, I'm sending you some cosmic hugs from across the
What I’m doing with my life
I think it's important to note that I'm in the category of people
who, when they have an order of french fries, make a neat little
pile of ketchup so that they can dip each individual fry as they
wish. If you're in the group of people who take the ketchup and
squeeze it willy-nilly all over the fries, the processes of your
brain are a mystery to me. I don't even like fries that much, but I
felt I should warn you.
I’m really good at
Taking care of people I love. Book learnin. Being friends with
animals, especially my horse. Reading. Communicating clearly.
Finding beauty. Being charmingly girly with faint undertone of dork
on the surface and underpinings of steel and fire.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my height, lips, boobs, hips (let's be honest here) but
hopefully also my calming presence.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Neil Gaiman. Neil, if you're reading this and your wife is
OK with you having a girlfriend, call me. Also, I would very much
like Madeline L'Engle and/or Margaret Atwood to adopt me. Books are
my very good friends.
Movies: Heathers, Empire Strikes Back, Love, Actually,
Shows: The Moth, Sleep No More.
Music: Leonard Cohen, please see my note above to Neil and
substitute your name instead.
Food: Anything but raw items, or food pretending to be other food
(no tofurkeys). Also, oddly, runny eggs and mayo are my kryptonite.
The six things I could never do without
In no particular order and with friends and family already
A great book to read.
The animal kingdom.
Sugar (mostly the lip-locking kind but also the lip-smacking
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My place in the universe, what matters, how not to let the things
that don't matter not matter. Why the OK Cupid computer wants to
team me up with people who are "less kind".
On a typical Friday night I am
Oh nothing really. Just sitting around in La Perla relaxing in a
bed full of rose petals rubbing lotion on my supple flesh, or
taking a bubble bath, or having a pillow fight with one of my
bi-curious girlfriends. That's what girls do when they're alone,
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm secretly a fertility goddess and/or Pippy Longstocking.
Also, and on a less exciting note...years ago I had a high-end
development job but I had to quit because it was making me evil. To
this day, when I don't like people, I polite them to death.
You should message me if
I can't help but greatly admire people who choose their own way in
the world and don't follow a script. Also, I do best with those who
are straight-forward communicators and more temperate than hot and
cold. Finally, I probably won't answer if you don't have a photo.
If you do, though, feel free to IM me.
