My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I know the difference between your and you're, to and too, right and left. I have a job, brush my teeth, and I drive everywhere.

I enjoy Scotch. I know nothing about ordering wine, but would love to learn. I like the Mets, but can't possibly explain why. I also love the Giants, but that's easier to understand...I think.

Although I was born and raised in NYC, I love exploring this town like a tourist. Museums and Skyscrapers and Concerts and Restaurants...I'm always wondering what to do next. Any ideas?
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Breaking in my APCs.

Searching for the ever-elusive "best burger in NYC". Wondering if Umami Burger is blasphemy or genius.
11-2014 Update on my burger quest: I've discovered that I don't like pimento cheese on my burgers.

Always looking for new music to listen to. Suggestions welcome.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Lots of things, here's a sampler:
- Parallel parking.
- Handling a cast-iron skillet.
- Growing a beard at will.
- Kissing.
- High-speed bullshitting - surfing the Internet.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My mischievous grin. Sometimes it gets me in trouble.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I like movies. I like movies with quality acting, and I like movies with shitty acting but huge explosions.
Saw The Great Gatsby on HBO recently and liked it a lot, especially the soundtrack. Napoleon Dynamite. Blackfish. He Got Game. Glengarry Glen Ross. Pulp Fiction. Ferris Bueller's Day Off. The Iron Giant. Tombstone. Anchorman. Belly. The Godfather. Lost in Translation. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Hoop Dreams. The Warriors. Pi. In Bruges. Wall-E. Kill Bill Vol. 1, but not Vol. 2. The Wiz. Lots of others.
I like IMAX, but don't like 3D. Am I the only person that doesn't see much of a 3D effect?

Books: Murakami, Mieville, Gaiman, Saramago, Roth, Augusten Burroughs, more...Currently working on A Confederacy of Dunces. 2666 is on my bookshelf, but I'm intimidated by it.
Recently finished the Keith Richards and Patti Smith biographies, and I now have a much better appreciation for both artists. Any idea what I should read next?

Magazines: New York. Wired. Dwell. Vanity Fair.

xkcd. damnyouautocorrect. Way too many tumblrs.

TV: I watch it. I enjoyed great shows like the Wire and the Cosby Show, and Netflix is great for watching a whole series at once - working on Breaking Bad and House of Cards these days.
I must admit that I really hate Law & Order SVU. The gruesome crimes bother me.

Music:
The Black Keys. The White Stripes. The Black Crowes. Lenny Kravitz. Wilco. Frank Sinatra. Jay-Z. U2. U2 featuring Jay-Z. Avicii. Led Zeppelin. Vampire Weekend. I REALLY love when bands do an unexpected cover: Snow Patrol covering Beyonce's "Crazy in Love"...
Beyond that, I listen to lots of other stuff. Suggestions for new things to listen to are always welcome.

Food: I'll try anything once. Except maybe the roasted vermin they sell by the road in Asia.
Some favorites: The fish tacos at Gran Electrica. The ramen at Ippudo. The ice cream at Ample Hills.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- Muji pens
- My iPhone
- A great pair of jeans
- L&B square slices
- My Aeron
- Diet Coke. Not Diet Pepsi.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
As I get close to wrapping up Breaking Bad, should my next viewing project be House of Cards or Orange is the New Black?

Decisions, decisions.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can't swim.
Oh, and I like the Mets.

If you're excited about U2 coming to MSG next year. You know, because planning ahead is smart sometimes.

No nail-biters please. That might be my only deal-breaker.
