My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
A simple, light hearted yet slightly defense note:

If you contact me I will reply BUT you must be -
polite, write more than one line, have a profile filled out, and also be SINGLE, that means not in any other relationship!

I'm quirky, adventurous, non traditional in many ways, often silly, easily entertained and I love learning. Please do challenge me and have your own interests. Space in a relationship is a beautiful and necessary thing. I prefer knowing people from the inside out. I am very open and will discuss just about anything. I don't need someone to save me, which is not possible anyway, and I try to see people for who they are in this moment. Potential is very seductive but presence even more so.

One of my favorite quotes from Rumi : "Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it."
And from Mark Twain: "I am an old man and have known many troubles, but most of them never happened."

I love :
Meeting my edge, cooking, gardening, philosophical conversations, dinner parties, horses, dogs, nature, knitting, dancing, great wine, meditating, dressing up, dressing down, yoga, sunshine and rain equally, airplanes, snorkeling, traveling, connecting deeply with people, shifting my perspective, getting dirty, hot showers, soft sheets, remembering what I love, loving what is, a good book on the porch, being surprised.

and this. . .
The Invitation by Oriah

It doesn’t interest me
what you do for a living.
I want to know
what you ache for
and if you dare to dream
of meeting your heart’s longing.

It doesn’t interest me
how old you are.
I want to know
if you will risk
looking like a fool
for love
for your dream
for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn’t interest me
what planets are
squaring your moon...
I want to know
if you have touched
the centre of your own sorrow
if you have been opened
by life’s betrayals
or have become shrivelled and closed
from fear of further pain.
I want to know
if you can sit with pain
mine or your own
without moving to hide it
or fade it
or fix it.
I want to know
if you can be with joy
mine or your own
if you can dance with wildness
and let the ecstasy fill you
to the tips of your fingers and toes
without cautioning us
to be careful
to be realistic
to remember the limitations
of being human.
It doesn’t interest me
if the story you are telling me
is true.
I want to know if you can
disappoint another
to be true to yourself.
If you can bear
the accusation of betrayal
and not betray your own soul.
If you can be faithless
and therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see Beauty
even when it is not pretty
every day.
And if you can source your own life
from its presence.
I want to know
if you can live with failure
yours and mine
and still stand at the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of the full moon,
“Yes.”
It doesn’t interest me
to know where you live
or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up
after the night of grief and despair
weary and bruised to the bone
and do what needs to be done
to feed the children.
It doesn’t interest me
who you know
or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand
in the centre of the fire
with me
and not shrink back.
It doesn’t interest me
where or what or with whom
you have studied.
I want to know
what sustains you
from the inside
when all else falls away.
I want to know
if you can be alone
with yourself
and if you truly like
the company you keep
in the empty moments.

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Hmmmm.
Evolving hopefully.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being silly, sassy, and eternally hopeful.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my smile and my eyes.

Shows - I don't have TV but used to enjoy Californication, True Blood, X Files, PBS Mystery, Lost, Downton Abbey.
Food - Healthy and not processed mostly. The more interesting the better. I love meat and fantastic salads, sushi, soups and stews in the cold weather.

Green Day when I'm at the gym, Gramuki chanting when I'm doing yoga or working, Patsy Cline, Billie Holiday, Fats Waller, Martin Sexton, Nick Lowe, Opera, Louis Armstrong, Johnny Cash, Madonna, REM, old punk, new wave, Tom Petty, Nickleback, Rockabilly, Dan Reeder, you get the idea. . .
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Integrity
Love
Truth
Passion

fun question but truly we can do without most of what we have
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
who I am, why I'm here, what I should do about it
and. . . of course. . . sex.
(YES! - I'm willing to admit that here but, it doesn't mean I'm easy, non discriminate or casual. Meaningless sex is just as much a waste of time as meaningless anything else.)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
My schedule is flexible so there is no typical.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Ask me in person.
