My self-summary
So this is the part where I describe myself without conveying anything meaningful, yes? Yes. Cool.

I'm the stereotypical nice-but-awkward guy (stereotypes are bad, mmmmm'kay?). I have an occasionally-embarrassing affinity for puns and wordplay (hence the username), I use dashes in the place of real punctuation, and I overuse ellipses. Often, if I can't think of anything interesting or relevant to say, I won't say anything, which is sometimes awkward. I can't help it - I like to maintain a certain economy of words. In an ideal world, I could sell my word emission credits to more talkative people in some sort of cap-and-trade system.

I'm a serial procrastinator and cereal masticator.

I hesitate to call myself a geek, because I don't have the computer or pop culture knowledge to back it up. I don't know what that makes me. Oblivious, I suppose?

My to-read list is way too long, and keeps growing.
What I’m doing with my life
Taking some time off before grad school. Trying to figure out why the faheck I would want to go to grad school.
I’m really good at
Wordplay, though it sometimes ventures into "I'm really bad at" territory. You have been warned.

I'm reasonably athletic, and I'm not-terrible at most team sports. My desserts are pretty good, I guess?

Procrastinating. I am really good at procrastinating.
The first things people usually notice about me
Apparently, my eyes. The colour, that is - though I suppose if someone had no eyes, it would be the first thing I would notice about them...

Also, my height, though it's well within the normal range.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
List or general rules?

Books: No real pattern, though fantasy and dystopian sci-fi seem to come up fairly often.
Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, A Clockwork Orange, Wuthering Heights, Lolita, The Metamorphosis, A Song of Ice and Fire, 1984.

Movies: Mostly anything, I'm not too picky. Generally not a fan of artsier movies, though (I hated I Heart Huckabees).
Monty Python, (500) Days of Summer, Jurassic Park, anything Tim Burton (Beetlejuice! Edward Scissorhands!), This Is Spinal Tap, Life is Beautiful.

Shows: Joss Whedon. So much. And anything with any actor who's ever been in a Joss Whedon series, really. I go for interesting characters (and, by extension, actors) over any specific genre or plot. Ergo, very few procedurals.
Firefly, Buffy, Community, House (earlier years), Game of Thrones, Dexter, Castle, Breaking Bad, Battlestar Galactica, True Blood, New Girl.

Food: Most non-seafood things. The spicier the better.
The six things I could never do without
Coffee or tea
Running shoes
Bus pass
Hot water
Glasses
Laptop
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Book characters, TV characters, what's for dinner, what's on sale at the grocery store, people, witty comebacks for conversations that happened an hour ago, how the Habs are doing, potential DIY projects. Words that sound funny if you think about them for a while. Very specific words that I can't remember at that moment, and will bug me all day.
On a typical Friday night I am
Running, or at home, vegetating. Occasionally at a pub with friends. The liver is a muscle too, right? Have to make sure it stays in shape.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't have a driver's license yet.
