My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
So I just moved to Maine and don't know what to do with myself! Moved up to portland by way of Massachusetts... By way of Pennsylvania and Virginia. Hey, my brother who lives here said this is where I should be, so I'll try it!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I got my masters in art history, then quickly realized there was a bit of a hiring issue. Meaning there is nowhere hiring people with a passion for Baroque art and the grotesque paintings of Caravaggio. So I went back to my home town, found a temp job, and started coaching high school girls lacrosse. And I love it! Now I am coaching at St Joe's and I love that I am giving back to something that I feel passionately about.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
- Baking. Especially to good music.
- Organizing. Although you would never know it based on my apartment. More of a professionally slash academic thing rather than a private thing.
- Telling you what song is playing based on the first few bars. For some reason a brother thought it was important, and decided to constantly quiz me on it in my formative years.
- With that last one in mind, I'm really god at recognizing movie composers and what other movies they've scored. For example, the guy who did the Pirates of the Caribbean movies was ridiculously lazy, because it's the same score as Gladiator.
- Grammar. Good? Bad?
- Looking you in the eye when you talk to me. For some reason it had always felt important.
- Being lazy, when necessary, and often when not.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Tough one! I'm always smiling... I will probably talk too much about my dog (she's a brat but I love her)...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I love to read and probably spend too much spare time doing so. I'm the type of person who likes to buy paperbacks of my favorite books and read them over and over again. Some at specific times during the year, like around St Patrick's Day. Although kindle works for the more embarrassing titles. So on that note:

The Historian
Scarlet Pimpernel (the French Revolution fascinates me) and any series mentioning it
The Princess Bride (I own the book and the DVD)
The Hounds of the Mórrigan
Embarrassing children's books that I've always loved.

Sabrina. The Bogart and Hepburn version.
Any sports movie that will make be cry with just enough physical contact (Remember the Titans)
Pride and Prejudice. Yes. I am that girl. And I like all of them. (Fine! The book too!)
Gladiator. I am not joking. My first R movie in a theater, and I can still always watch it.

Walking dead
The league
Big Bang theory
True blood
Game of Thrones
SUITS! And basically everything on USA network
Dexter (when it was on. If you watched it, you know I hated the finale)

I legitimately like everything (that doesn't include heavy metal screaming or twangy county). Music means so much to me. I generally like to bake to 50-60s classics, get dressed to Top 40s, drive to angry hard rock and expletive heavy rap, and just plain listen to classic rock. I like it all, and I find a time for it all. But I you don't like Bruce Springsteen or Neil Diamond, we will never get along:)

Everything but seafood, fish, and lamb, for their own reasons. I was vegetarian for a bit, but missed bacon a bit too much for it to be worth it. I love anything with a spice, like Indian, Mexican, and Thai.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My dog
My family
My Disney DVD collection
My rice cooker
My kitchenaide
My fan
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life. What I want to do. What I want to be. How I should go about it.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Currently drinking a glass of wine watching some classic movie. But I like to be with friends, I like to have many in multiple cities, and I like to visit them.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have terrible vision without contacts or glasses. Like seriously borderline completely impaired.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You want to show a newcomer around Portland. Or you have met me around town. Or you just want to go for drinks, dinner, movie (where does one go to the theater here?). Or if you need someone to go drinking with, or to try out a new restaurant.
