My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've been living in Raleigh since i was 18. Originally grew up in Charleston, SC. My parents are from the northeast so usually i talk more like that do. (water is pronounced wooder...shuddup)

I like sports, that is to say football, basketball and baseball. If you're into that, my teams are the Panthers, Mavericks and Yankees. I also like going to race tracks. Not Nascar, i mean more the twisty turns of VIR or the hard launches of a drag strip.

I have 2 dogs. A 7 year old Shar Pei and a 2 year old hound mix, the latter i got from the Wake county shelter. I'm not really into cats but i have been known to tolerate them.

I also like working on cars. I even learned a bit about paint and bodywork a while back.

Started learning how to play guitar when i was 15. I don't really stick with it consistently. A few months on, a few months off, but i'm good enough to get by. I guess it's become a passing fancy.

I enjoy writing (fictional stories). My grandpa was a writer but i have little to no confidence in my ability TO write. Consequently you'll never see a word of it.

I almost never capitalize my mid-sentence i's unless it's for something important.

Oh yeah, i also cook a lot. I enjoy cooking for people who appreciate it. I also used to work in a bakery and dessert is my favorite thing to make.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work full time as a truck driver for a local private company. Usually around 60 hours a week but it's mostly Mon-Fri and some holidays off.

I guess i'm sort of doing the daily grind. I'm pretty well set right now with not a lot to worry about, and time to think of how to build around that. I suppose i'm looking for someone to take part in the journey... or, is also on their own journey and needs a traveling partner, something like that. p.s. must love dogs
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Playing guitar
fixing things
foul language
building Legos or models
saying the right thing at the right time
saying the wrong thing at the wrong time
opening jars
being reliable
reflex actions
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have red hair. I also have brown eyes. I've never met another redhead with brown eyes. So a ginger with, if you take a closer look, black and brown highlights. I think that makes me a daywalker. I can survive in the sun for longer periods than the average ginger.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Fantasy, some sci-fi, historical fiction, military history, some biographies.

Movies: Similar genres as the books i like. Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Snatch, Pulp Fiction, The Departed, some documentaries. Guy Ritchie and Quentin Tarantino movies are usually very good. Leo DiCaprio is awesome and Jason Statham is a different kind of awesome.

TV: Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Hell on Wheels, Family Guy, Archer, Breaking Bad, Always Sunny, Grimm, Law & Order, Criminal Minds, Supernatural, Top Gear, Trailer Park Boys, South Park

Music: Classic rock, alternative, some heavy metal, even some blues rock. Just about anything i can listen to and think "i'd like to learn how to play that song." I also love it when songs like My Sharona and 867-5309/Jenny come on the radio.

Food: seafood, Italian, Mexican (and mexican-ish), spicy foods, coffee, pastries, some French, some Chinese, sammiches
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Coffee, water, coffee, cheesecake, coffee...

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The little things
On a typical Friday night I am

I'd like someone who'd want to walk my dog around the park with me, or drink coffee on the couch in some jammies.
