My self-summary
Hello there and welcome to my profile my name is Patrick.
I'm a Geek, Nerd and a bit of a dork and I like geeky, nerdy, dorky things especially most things to do with computers, gadgets, and technology. In my free time I play computer games (no console gaming for me) I also sometimes do a little graphic and web design, although I don't think I'm that good at it.

If you want to see some of my work or if you'd like to know more about me check out my web site and tell me what you think.
patrick1978.com

I'm can be very quiet, especially when I'm first getting to know someone or when I'm around a lot of people.

My Myers-Briggs personality type is INTJ
Also I think OKCupids personality traits they have listed for me is fairly accurate. (Except the "More Pure" bit. Don't know where they got that from.)

Please excuse any grammatical/spelling mistakes that I may have made. I do my best not to make any but I've always had difficulties with language. It's the only subject I did poorly at in school even when trying.
What I’m doing with my life
Stumbling blindly.

Been living with my father for the last couple of years since neither of us can afford to live alone plus his health is failing and he needs me to drive him around and take care of him.
I’m really good at
Most things to do with computers, being a dork, procrastinating, placing punctuation where it doesn't belong, kissing, giving massages, and most things that I've put any effort into being good at.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I hardly ever talk especially when I'm around a lot of people,
at least that's usually the first thing most people say to me "Wow
you're really quiet" or "How come you don't talk?"

Also, most people seem to think that I'm at least 10 years younger than I really am.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I haven't actually read a book in quite a while, but a couple of years ago I had a job that if I hadn't listened to Audio Books, Podcasts, etc I would have gone crazy. So I got hooked on listening to Audio Books which if you haven't tried I highly recommend especially if you have ADD like me and find it somewhat difficult to sit still and read a book.

Anyways some of the audio books that I've enjoyed recently are...

The Harry Potter Series read by Stephen Fry

Pillers of the Earth & World Without End by Ken Follett

The first 4 books in the Dune Saga by Frank Herbert

Lolita read by Jeremy Irons

A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson

Music: I like a wide variety of music, however I don't normally get exposed to much new music since I rarely listen to the radio. Usually it's only when I go to a club or spend time with my friends and hear what they're listening to that I get to hear new music.

Some of my favorite types of music are:
Mashups, Trance, Hardcore, 80's-90's Pop, Disco, and Oldies.

Some of the bands/artists that I like are:
The Beatles, No Doubt, Garbage, Lily Allen, Lady Gaga, and The B-52's.

I like pretty much anything upbeat that I can dance to.
The six things I could never do without
This is more like the list of stuff I'd rather not do without.
In no particular order my 6 things are...

-My Computer with the Internets

-My Car

-Music I can Dance To

-Caffeine

-Cheese

-Spell Check
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Whatever random nerdy thing that happens to interest me at the moment. A recent example would be my interest in different types of font rendering.

Which one of my pictures looks most like what other people think I look like, and trying to figure out which picture others have posted that best represent what they look like in person.

Blog post's that I want to write but never do. For some reason as soon as I sit down with a text box open my mind goes blank.

Sex
yep cause I'm human and we sure like our sex.

How much better OKCupid was before match.com bought them.

Life, the Universe, and Everything.
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably Working or just sitting at home relaxing. Maybe watching Fringe. (boo that the series is ending soon, I just go into it)

Why Friday night? Why not Saturday? I'm going to answer that instead.

I used to go up to San Fransisco to go dancing fairly often at the DNA Lounge on Saturday for Bootie, but not so much anymore.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I still use a couple of Smurf spoons that I got out of a box of cereal when I was about 6 years old. They are in fact my favorite spoons to use.

What you want something more?

OK this is not really private but maybe worth mentioning. Almost all my male friends are gay.
For whatever reason I tend to get along better with gay men than straight men.

I also have a profile on FL under the same screen name.
I don't have much experience with kink, but I am very open minded about sex, and I'd prefer to make friends that are equally open minded and so far it's proven a good place to meet those sort of people.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 26–40
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You think you would like to meet me. I don't enjoy endless emails back and forth. I feel I get a much better sense of whether or not I like some one by actually spending time with them.

As for what I'm looking for, I'd prefer you were somewhat outgoing to counter my shyness.

Also if you'er nerdy that would be a huge plus, but at very least you should appreciate my nerdiness.

Also you'll need to be ok with the fact that I will never be as talkative/interesting around your friends/family as I am when I'm alone with you.
