What I’m doing with my life
Thinking of something I have to do later, making a mental note to do it and really really really thinking about it this time like seriously you have to do it just do it it's been waiting for too long this is getting sad man, and then totally forgetting about it entirely as soon as the thought leaves my head.

All the while listening to music in a way that may border on addiction.

And probably distracted by working on two green roof / urban farm projects I just secured funding for at the non-profit where I work.

Which is not nearly as distracting as thinking of jokes to tell my friends later, if I see them.

Aaaand gchat.

Hot sauce.
I’m really good at
Rubix cubes | Fixing shit | Bicycle riding | Yelling at the news

The six things I could never do without
The most important things in the world are love, laughter, friendship, good health, family, and knowing thyself.

Ha ha! But actually gold and rubies and flatscreens and pet falcons and muscle milk and bathing in a heady blend of fresh cream & honeysuckle nectar.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
A while back I read this book called "How Children Succeed" by Paul Tough and there's a part in there about how behavioral scientists did this experiment on rats to see what effect affection has on the developing brain, so what they did was to separate out the rat moms who licked their rat pups from the rat moms who didn't through a painstaking processes of watching hundreds of baby rats with their moms to see who got licked and who did not, and so after all this work what they found out was that the rats who got licked, even after they accounted for genetics by switching half of the rat pups at birth from licking moms to non-licking moms and vica versa, what they eventually found out is that being licked as a baby rat caused the release of all sorts of stimulating chemicals, the same reaction that affection causes in adults, but the difference is that when the brain is still a baby it actually causes an increase in development of certain neurons and receptors in the brain that make baby rats more confident, more independent, more determined, and generally better at being rats that the other rats whose rat moms didn't lick them. And this little thing, being cared for by your mother, can make all the difference in the world. What else are we doing that matters?

And etcetera.
On a typical Friday night I am
Some lumberjacks and I get together with the plains nomads and the local baymen and baywomen for drinks and smokes and sometimes dancing. I usually end the night by extinguishing my smoldering log cabin with maple syrup. I have a pretty serious bee infestation. Do you mind bees?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have seen a security hologram...of him...killing younglings.

I did not lie about how tall I am.
