My self-summary
Hullo there,

I

from a father from France,
and a mother from Quebec city,
in Montreal's Jewish General Hospital,
got baptized like every good Catholic kid,
went to a Greek Orthodox elementary school
were I learned Greek and English in addition to French
got very close friends in high school (1rst gf, 3 yr)
studied psychology for a while in cegep (2nd gf, 2.5 yr)
got my B.A. in English to French translation from UdeM in Dec. 2009
and I currently work as a translator dans le Vieux-Port de Montréal.
What I’m doing with my life
Je suis devenu propriétaire (Booyah!)

I'm also fantasizing about another trip in Greece.
I’m really good at
Learning and using languages (tongues, har har har...)

Ask me about my translation for "I am a cunning linguist"! :-p

Rire, toucher, traduire et avoir l'air songeur avec un brocoli dans les lunettes...
The first things people usually notice about me
I breathe. A lot. I think it's important. Just ask Jon Lajoie, he'll explain everything there is to know about breathing.

Seriously, though, I have no idea. It's not the kind of thing strangers tell me when we meet. And I don't think my friends remember...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I loved Le Parfum and Les rivières pourpres (again, the books, not the movies), The Moral Animal, La Papesse Jeanne... I've read a few from White Wolf publishings (that's my geek side). I just picked up "Money management for Canadians for Dummies"... not exactly mind-blowing literature, but hey, it's for my job...

I heard once that a "classic" is a book that no one read, but that everyone wants to have read. I definitely want to have read more of these. I'll start that eventually.

Movies: I'm a big movie watcher. Even very bad movies tend to entertain me. A few I actually liked: everything by Guy Ritchie, Immortel Ad Vitam (actually from a graphic novel series by Enki Bilal). These are not my favourites, just the ones I can think of at the moment.

Tv shows: I just went through five seasons of Boston Legal. Luuuuved it, mainly for Alan Shore's so called "long speeches". Samurai Champloo, awesome post-modern anime. BATMAN! God I'm so gay for Batman (both B's in my nickname actually stand for Batman).

Music: If I like it, I'll listen to it, no matter the style or the band/musician/singer, be it Philippe Jarousky, Winter Bestowed, Gutter Demons or Pelep Pelep Pelep! :-p

Food: I'm not tooooooo difficult. I just prefer most of my food cooked. No, not ice cream... That's a dish I prefer served cold...!
The six things I could never do without
1-Tout ce que Maslow a prévu dans sa pyramide
2-Rire
3-Rencontrer/voir des gens
4-Écouter de la musique
5-Voyager à l'occasion
6-Euh, faire... des choses?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What to do next! That and trying to find time to learn/practice a new language. Does that count as ironic?
On a typical Friday night I am
There's no such thing as a typical Friday night!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I hide it very well, but I'm actually quite shy. There, I'm blushing...
