My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a fit healthy urbanite who likes to travel, do outdoorsy things and make people laugh. I'm calm and thoughful, which is good because I negotiate for a living.
The most important thing anyone has told me is to take life seriously, but not too seriously.
I'm interested in anyone who has a story.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I came back to Wellington after a couple of years studying overseas. I repeatedly save up for traveling and then go travel, repeat repeat. My job is to make sure NZ has enough internet and supercomputers for our scientists. I am staying in Wellington for the knowable future. I am also on a not-so-intense search for my abs, just to see if they are still there.

Update: the abs are there, just hiding.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Polite and rude conversation, knowing something about everything or at least being able to make something up about everything, navigating, recognizing what movie I am watching in less than 10 seconds, making breakfast. Saying I don't want to dance and then dancing quite a lot.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If they know me, that I've lost some weight recently.

If they don't know me, that I am a funny person.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

The Left Hand of Darkness and Neuromancer. Alien and Aliens. Seinfeld and QI. Hot Chip and M83. Barbecue and Pho.

And Jeopardy! I miss Jeopardy. It's the best.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Sunglasses on a sunny day
iPad on a rainy day
Coffee in the morning
My mattress
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to be funny without being a jerk.
What kind of garden I will have one day and how I'm going to make that happen.
Where to go for a holiday over the next year. This year it was Vietnam, next year I'm going to the USA to hang out in Yosemite. The year after will probably be Norway, Iceland, some other countries near there.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Dropping to the pub next door to say hi to my friends. I live next to Goldings. Otherwise Friday is not really a big deal.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
As a ten year old I played the piano in a country music club. I am sometimes assured that this was adorable.
