My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
If there was the option “Nerd seeking Nerd” I would check it. I tend to prefer the company of nerds and stoners, because they all tend to be genuinely kind people. I am kind of a unpredictable; most people don’t figure that out until they get to know me really well. I don’t really know how to write a dating profile and I don’t think it is a skill most people have. GERONIMO!

I spend my time reading, hiking, cycling, working out, cooking, and hanging with friends around a fire, debating something random, and playing videogames just to give you an idea. I am fairly diverse in both taste and interest. Paintball and skiing are passions of mine that I don’t get to indulge in nearly often enough. I prefer Star Wars to Star Trek. I enjoy anime almost as much as watching a Patriots game.

Food is a passion in my life, and in my family “if you like to eat you will like to cook”. People who eat only because their body is in need of substance confound me to no end. I prefer to make health conscious food choices but I will splurge for REAL ice cream. I find that cooking is far more enjoyable as a social event. The fact of the matter is, cooking with someone else in mind makes the art wonderful (cooking is the only art talent I have aside from singing ). My idea of relaxing involves a large cup of tea and a good book.

One thing has consistently ringed true though out my life, I bounce. I am not talking about the “I fell going up the stairs and did not feel a thing” kind of bounce. I am the “Hey guys watch this!” kind of bounce. The last time this happened I fell 20+ feet down a rock face and got to the bottom right in time to hit a tree, and I was fine(minor sprained ankle, I walk the next 7 miles without much complaint). It is not uncommon to find me in all sorts of odd places. You know when you were a kid and something caught your eye and all you wanted to do was investigate it? I still have that.

I am just looking to have a good time and meet some fun people along the way. I like to take things slowly or at a laid back pace. I am looking for friends whom I may fall for, not to jump into a romantic relationship. I am one part realist and one part hopeless romantic. It does tend to swing one way or another depending on my mood, but I think I strike a good balance.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have a BA in chemistry and I am a self-proclaimed nerd. I currently work as a floating lab tech. I am hoping to move on to acquire my doctorate and from there only time will tell.

I hate to be cliché, but I am “just living life”. As for something new and interesting; when my life slows down a bit I will be joining a jujitsu class. It is something I have always wanted to do.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Anything active (being dynamic in life is a good thing)
Science (did I mention I was a nerd?)
Cooking (every girl wants a man who can cook)
cuddling (Who does not like cuddling)
Talking (If you get me going I will talk you head off)
Video Games (nerd+ male = this is not a surprise)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile or my laugh. If we meet up and it is not that tell me so I can update this. It is not like people tell you this kind of thing when they meet you.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Song of Ice and Fire and the Dresden Files
Movies: Let the Right One In, Avatar
Shows: Dr. Who, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory
Music: Alt Rock, Mumford and Sons
Food: Everything (excpet sea urchin, YUCK!) My new superfood is kale!

I thought favorite meant 1-3 choices. I laugh when people have lists of 25+ favorites.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Phone
Car
Family
Hope
Science
Sea Food
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The meaning of life *who doesn’t*
Food, Football, Chemistry, dinner, physics. Love, politics, what will go good with zucchini, the future, food, ways to reinvent the wheel, oh did I mention food :P

Wishing my life had a selective "undo button". A perfect example is when you revise your profile two days after you sent a lot of people messages.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Studying, going home, Out at a Bar, at a college party, sitting around a bon fire, watching Dr. Who, reading a book, playing video games, or entertaining friends
Realistically I am doing what ever grabs my attention. If something comes up and strikes my fancy I will run with it.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I still sleep with my teddy bear. I have had it since before I was born. No shame here. I gave it a classic two year old trying to be creative name..."Teddy".

If you think that a guy can say "there is not enough love in the world" and not sound strange.
