My Self-Summary
I am a pretty relaxed person. I am quiet at times, but I can also
be extremely outgoing and extroverted when I have to be. I would
consider myself to be a good conversationalist, and love speaking
to people who instigate meaningful discussions. Sometimes I can be
argumentative, but always keep it civil, and I know when to rest my
case.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently attending UCF, double majoring in Art Education and Studio Art. I take
school very seriously, and put a lot of effort into meeting my own
high academic standards. I plan on attending grad school, and want
to be a high school or university art teacher.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I love a lot of different kinds of books, especially anything with
great photography. My favorite work of
literature is Heart of Darkness. I like a lot of movies, but a few favorites are
Fargo, The Life Aquatic, The Way We Were, Trainspotting, Juno, V
for Vendetta, The Royal Tenenbaums, and Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
I mainly listen to indie music, with a penchant for electropop.
Some of my favorite bands are The New Pornographers, Blitzen
Trapper, Islands, Animal Collective, Sigur Ros, Of Montreal, The
Beatles, and Spoon. Food wise, I'm open to try anything, but I'm
pescatarian, which means I don't eat any red meat or poultry.
The six things I could never do without
I couldn't do without music, free expression, good friends,
open-mindedness, the internet, or bicycles.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I spend a lot of time thinking about what art is. I tend to think
the definition of art is extremely loose, and that if you can
justify it in some way, it is art. I also enjoy thinking about
thinks like architecture, graphic design, modern art, fashion, and mid-century
modern furniture.
On a typical Friday night I am
On most Friday nights, I spend time with my friends, either just
hanging out, or going to a party, club, or concert. Unfortunately,
I have to work on Friday nights from time to time.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
The most private thing I'll admit here, is that I only learned how
to ride a bike 6 months ago.
