My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I love ska and punk music.

I'm a nerd (I'm sure you could have picked that up from the second I said I like ska...we're not exactly known for our cool points...).

I really like video games...I have an XBox 360, Wii, 3DS, and Steam. No next gen system yet. My favorite games are GTA, Worms, Fable, any Mario game, Zelda. Recently, Steam had a huge sale on Age of Empires and after I did ALL OF THE SQUEEING (literally, all of it), I bought it but haven't had a chance to revisit the awesomeness of this game just yet. That will be in a couple of weeks when classes end for the summer term. I play a lot of MTG in video game form also.

I take online classes, majoring in math with the ultimate goal of teacher certification.

I collect postcards. I have been collecting since I was 8.

I make my own jewelry.

I really enjoy Ren Faires and will trample someone for a turkey leg.

I can be shy until I get to know someone but once I feel comfortable, all bets are off! I'm a very good friend and I have been blessed with wonderful friends from all over the country (the consequence of living in Nevada for 3 years as well as all of the regional shows I go to).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am spending my life living each day like it is the last day on earth.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being myself.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Checkerboard, polka dots, and plaid. My outfits usually incorporate some (or all) of those patterns.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I am very passionate about music! My absolute favorite band is Big D and the Kids Table. I travel a lot to see them and have seen them in 16 states so far. In October, I will be seeing them out of the country for the first time. Other bands I like include Less Than Jake, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Goldfinger, Survay Says!, Short Handed Goal, Threat Level Burgundy, Poor Jeremy, New Found Glory, Weezer, NoFX, Westbound Train, Spring Heeled Jack, Pietasters, Reel Big Fish, the Toasters, Vandals, New Limits, Bim Skala Bim, Stray Bullets, etc. I listen to a lot of local/ska punk - New England has an amazing scene!

Kevin Smith is my favorite director and Clerks is my favorite movie. Other movies include: Star Wars (original trilogy and Ep III - I don't care what anyone says, Episode III was awesome), Wizard of Oz, Fanboys, Harry Potter, Captain America, etc.

I love to read and focus mostly on nonfiction/biographies/etc. Young adult books are cool, too. Check out the Redwall books or the Warriors series! I also like comics.

I watch a lot of television. I mourn several shows (24 and if you ever want to see someone squee, you should have seen me flip out when they announced that 24 is coming back!), Chuck, Friends, etc. Some on air shows I never miss are the Simpsons, Family Guy, My Little Pony, Walking Dead, Once Upon A Time, Last Man Standing, the Wednesday night comedies, New Girl, etc. I love that the sitcom is making a comeback. Sunday night is the best night for television. I have friends who plan their Sundays around football - I plan mine around the Walking Dead.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Music
2. Vacations/Travel/Road Trips
3. Friends
4. Computer
5. Caffeine
6. Alone time
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where I want to visit, who I want to visit, what show is coming up next and how I can keep my cat from clawing my eyeball out in my sleep (I swear, I've woken up and caught her staring menacingly down at me before...pretty sure I've foiled some plans on more than one occasion).
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually seeing a band. If there is nothing happening music-wise, I may be at a movie or spending a quiet night at home. I have sweatpants and Netflix. This makes for a happy Danielle.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I want to learn trumpet. I found a trumpet at a consignment shop and I'm in the process (the very slow process) of teaching myself how to play.
