My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living.
I want to know what you ache for
and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.

It doesn’t interest me how old you are.
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool
for love
for your dream
for the adventure of being alive.

It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon...
I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow
if you have been opened by life’s betrayals
or have become shriveled and closed
from fear of further pain.

I want to know if you can sit with pain
mine or your own
without moving to hide it
or fade it
or fix it.

I want to know if you can be with joy
mine or your own
if you can dance with wildness
and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes
without cautioning us
to be careful
to be realistic
to remember the limitations of being human.

It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me
is true.
I want to know if you can
disappoint another
to be true to yourself.
If you can bear the accusation of betrayal
and not betray your own soul.
If you can be faithless
and therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see beauty
even when it is not pretty
every day.
And if you can source your own life
from its presence.

I want to know if you can live with failure
yours and mine
and still stand at the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of the full moon,

It doesn’t interest me
to know where you live or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up
after the night of grief and despair
weary and bruised to the bone
and do what needs to be done
to feed the children.

It doesn’t interest me who you know
or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand
in the center of the fire with me
and not shrink back.

It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom
you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you
from the inside
when all else falls away.

I want to know if you can be alone
with yourself
and if you truly like the company you keep
in the empty moments.

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am the production manager/part-owner of a sucessful local headphone company. We built the company from the ground up. We started in a garage with $60,000 and a dream. Now we make some of the best headphones on the planet. I also have a 50 ton masters license to captain yachts. In my "off" time I like to go camping, play music, socialize, cook, go to shows and read. I also enjoy movies and video games (on occasion).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Lending a helping hand or an open ear. Communicating my expectations, wants and needs. Problem solving. Building and fixing things. Being a gentleman.

Anything by Philip K. Dick, Tom Robbins, Chuck Palahniuk, Dr. Hunter S. Thompson or Henry Charles Bukowski lately.

In my humble opinion there are only two types of music; good and bad. When I hear a piece of bad music I try to listen to it again, just to make sure I didn't miss anything.

I am a very epicurious person. I'll try anything once and will usually like it.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Friends, Family, Food, Water, Air, Shelter

I know its kind of an aberration of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs but I think he might have been on to something.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life and its meaning. How to go about starting a revolution. What the real value of money is. What is really important in life. Planning and taking my next steps in life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Really depends how I'm feeliing. I could be out on the town or in the middle of the desert trying to show off my atrocious dancing skills. Bundled up on the couch with a fuzzy blanket watching a movie. At a dinner party with good wine and good friends. Singing Karaoke at Lamplighter. Watching a new play. Making art. Writing poetry. I don't really like this question. I'm not "typical".
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You wear your ovaries on the outside. You like camping and letting loose. Oh and major points if you ride bicycles, skateboards, surfboards, snowboards, or wakeboards. I also really connect with people that go to that thing in the desert ;-) I'm looking for someone who is done figuring out who they are and are working on the next stage of their life. Someone that has a full sense of self. A girl who knows what they want out of life and what they are going to do to get it.
