My self-summary
I refuse to be straight-jacked by "mandatory" questions. I have enough "mandatory" things to do in life thank you.

I am nurturing, mystical, and belittled
I’m really good at
My job, I like to think. That's being a teacher. Highschool. Loads of fun. Oh dear, erase & rewind.

Singing. Honestly. Most days.
The first things people usually notice about me
Nothing that they agree upon, it seems. Lately they seem to tell me I seem pale(r). Isn't that just... grand? Some people like my voice, my singing voice - but it takes a while before I put them through such a thing and fortunately it doesn't seem to carry very well over even the most sophisticated phone lines(or absence thereof come to think of it)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
a) message me and I'll let you know. Looking around me I'd say 90% of them are by portuguese or brazilian authors (poets, mostly) you may not know. Maybe I'm just too parochial. Other than that? Orlando, Amerika, La Recherche Du Temps Perdu, any by Pushkin, Rilke, Celan Nemirovsky

b) Jules et Jim, Lola Rennt, Before Sunset, many Holywood ones with Greta Garbo and Bette Davis some which have the feel of filmed plays Long Day's Journey Into Night, Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf, Six Characters In Search Of An Author, Bed

c) The Beatles, Amlia, Joan Baez, Mahalia Jackson, Sandy Denny, Chico Buarque, Maria Bethnia, Rufus Wainwright

The six things I could never do without
Faith (I don't mean in a specific religion or God, but it can be that as well)

My son

My books

The view from my bedroom window (it's just someone else's garden but it faces west and sunsets can be glorious here - and yes some clichs can be true)

I really can't think of anything else and even the best about a view or a favourite book you can always carry with you regardless of place.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The basics. Death, Life, "Why are we here?" "Is this all there is?" my parents, the poetry of/in everything
On a typical Friday night I am
I don't think I have typical Friday nights.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Not much. I don't like myself, but I suppose many people feel the same.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 43–130
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends
You should message me if
you feel like it, why else?
