My self-summary
Update: At the moment, I am not currently looking for anyone new to date : ) But I'm always up for making new friends.

"Contemplative" might be a good word to describe me. I really love intelligent conversations.

I work as a software engineer (although not *quite* the socially inept stereotype) in AWACS radar simulations at Tinker Air Force Base.

Things that interest me: social philosophy, engineering, music (especially heavy metal), weight training, boxing, reading (magazines, usually), animals (dogs and tigers are my favorites, but I like them all), chess, Scrabble, video games, wine, scotch, muscle cars, playing guitar, writing music....

I love music - almost everything, except for country, rap, or pop. I do love electronica, and jazz, and classical, and classic rock, but my favorite genre by far is heavy metal. Not the ugly, bleak, amelodic kind of metal, but the symphonic, powerful, uplifting kind of metal.

For the most part, I really don't like to dance much at all. Well, I like slow dancing and headbanging, but there's not much in between :p

I did grow up relatively poor, and I've managed to "pull myself up by my own bootstraps", so to speak. When I describe myself as "driven", I mean it. But this is also why I tend to be very protective of people who are going through hard times.

I suppose my personality can be a little intense, at times. I try to always be honest, but I also try to be tactful about it unless someone is just really grating my nerves. But if I see someone being extremely rude, or cruel, or simultaneously ignorant and arrogant, I have no problem taking them down a peg. I always do my best to follow my inner moral code. And I get along with most people pretty well.

Things I find attractive: thoughtfulness, uniqueness, grammar(!!), liberalism, an easygoing nature...

Things I find unattractive: arrogance and egotism, excessive religiosity, conformity, a lack of compassion for people who are poor...
What I’m doing with my life
I graduated from OSU in May of 2010 and started work at Tinker AFB in November of 2010. I love my job - I have no major debt, I've visited Italy, and I intend to do much more traveling : )
I’m really good at
Why, Dungeons & Dragons, of course. (I'm kidding. I'm actually deathly allergic to dice that have more than 6 sides). But I'm usually pretty good at figuring things out. It's an occupational hazard. Don't challenge me at poker :p
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm thoughtful and well-spoken. That's the main impression I leave on people, I think.

Although sometimes, depending on what's going through my mind, my mouth can be a few steps behind my brain....

I spend a lot of time thinking about
What the hell makes "red velvet cake" so special? It's just food coloring. It should just be called "chocolate cake dyed red".
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually hanging out with friends at a restaurant or pub or something, but sometimes just relaxing at home watching movies or reading.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I sometimes beatbox absentmindedly...
You should message me if're not some mutated demonic alien looking to harvest my soul. Actually, if that's you, then go ahead and message me. Because that would be kind of neat.

And you should definitely message me if you're thoughtful, liberal, and unique :-)
