"Contemplative" might be a good word to describe me. I really love intelligent conversations.
I work as a software engineer (although not *quite* the socially inept stereotype) in AWACS radar simulations at Tinker Air Force Base.
Things that interest me: social philosophy, engineering, music (especially heavy metal), weight training, boxing, reading (magazines, usually), animals (dogs and tigers are my favorites, but I like them all), chess, Scrabble, video games, wine, scotch, muscle cars, playing guitar, writing music....
I love music - almost everything, except for country, rap, or pop. I do love electronica, and jazz, and classical, and classic rock, but my favorite genre by far is heavy metal. Not the ugly, bleak, amelodic kind of metal, but the symphonic, powerful, uplifting kind of metal.
For the most part, I really don't like to dance much at all. Well, I like slow dancing and headbanging, but there's not much in between :p
I did grow up relatively poor, and I've managed to "pull myself up by my own bootstraps", so to speak. When I describe myself as "driven", I mean it. But this is also why I tend to be very protective of people who are going through hard times.
I suppose my personality can be a little intense, at times. I try to always be honest, but I also try to be tactful about it unless someone is just really grating my nerves. But if I see someone being extremely rude, or cruel, or simultaneously ignorant and arrogant, I have no problem taking them down a peg. I always do my best to follow my inner moral code. And I get along with most people pretty well.
Things I find attractive: thoughtfulness, uniqueness, grammar(!!), liberalism, an easygoing nature...
Things I find unattractive: arrogance and egotism, excessive religiosity, conformity, a lack of compassion for people who are poor...
Although sometimes, depending on what's going through my mind, my mouth can be a few steps behind my brain....

I'm actually just about the least picky eater on the planet. I love everything. Although I think a good medium steak would probably be my favorite.
And you should definitely message me if you're thoughtful, liberal, and unique :-)
