My self-summary
Before i start, let me apologize for my nickname, was chosen one of those Shanghainese mornings when my skull was three sizes smaller than my brain. As we say in my home town: if you spend the night living like an artist, you will wake up feeling like a clown.

Yes, i'm a proud Shanghailander born and raised in Barcelona.

I had a very comfortable life in Barcelona, money in my pocket, plenty of time for myself, great friends and cool jobs but i was bored to death, so i decided to reinvent myself and my life big time. I had only one thing crystal clear in my mind: Fortune favors the bold.

So, on January 30th 2005, 15:30 local time, i arrived to Shanghai. No job, no friends, no word of chinese, no place to stay, just me and a suitcase, the rest is just history in the making, my adventures and misadventures in Shanghai will definitely deserve and need more than one chapter in my memoirs. I've seen things you people wouldn't believe...
What I’m doing with my life
Well, i quit two months ago my job, as a personal concierge for filthy rich tourists, working for the best inbound luxury travel agency in the country.
After 382 flights and aproximately 635000 kilometers (395000 miles if you don't use metric system) within China in the last six years i've decided i had enough.
Was "married" to my job being on the road nine out of twelve months a year. I did enjoy my job and career but the personal price i was paying was too high, almost impossible to meet someone when you are always traveling.
So i decided to quit the job, the glamour and my successful career, get out of my comfort zone and reinvent myself and my life again.

I recently started my own project/company of specialized History & Architecture tours in Shanghai. Now not only i'm my own boss but also i'm making a living through my passion and the things i love, which makes me a very happy and lucky guy i must say!

Now that i have my life back i want to share it with someone because some roads aren't meant to be travelled alone.
I’m really good at
Sarcasm. Dispensing fairly reasonable advise. Horizontal activities. Following my instincts. Making and keeping amazing friends. Reading on a beach under a palm tree. Hosting dinner parties. Cooking mediterranean food. Spoiling my niece whenever i go back to Barcelona. Riding aimlessly my bike through Shanghai's French Concession old lanes. Making and finding new excuses to not work out. Cursing in chinese. Making a wide variety of mean drinks and cocktails. Drinking them afterwards. Making people feel comfortable. Giving nicknames. Classic western mythology. Assembling Ikea furniture. Inane pop trivia culture. Zombie mayhem survival skills. Giving hugs. Petting cats. Having mystical revelations in the shower. Not taking any shit from no one.
The first things people usually notice about me
My personality, it is so magnetic i am unable to carry credit cards.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm an avid reader, from comic books to philosophy and everything in between.

Cinema is one of my great passions in life. I can't live without watching movies. I'm kind of proud of my top shelf collection acquired during all this years in Shanghai. The list would be so ridiculously long that makes no sense to start writing it.

It gets easier with tv shows, i like to spend my days and nights with the boys: Patrick Jane, Hank Moody, Don Draper, Sheldon Cooper, Raylan Givens, Sterling Archer and Peter Griffin.

About music, my range of interest is wide enough, techno, punk, rock, but i like any group that can pull off a great life performance, not assembly line studio groups.

And food, oh, i'm a foodie and i love it. To eat good food is a vital and moral obligation i have with myself.
The six things I could never do without
My passport: In China you need it for everything.
My queen size bed: I spend a 1/3 of my life in it.
My friends: When you're living 11000 km from home they become your family and safety net.
Sarcasm & Sense of humor: I wouldn't had last all these years in China without them.
My Iphone: yup, can't live/work without him.
My bike: She takes me wherever i want to go.
On a typical Friday night I am
I live in Shanghai, surrounded 24/7 by 25 millions of chinese, there is no typical day in my life.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Being the only boy in a family full of women i learned first hand about the sinchronicity of menstrual period among women living together, it is not an urban legend! Learned that once a month i had to tip toe and be extra careful about what to say and what to do for my own safety, that's why whenever i've been in a relationship i always knew better than my partners when it was that time of the month... Pure survival instinct!
You should message me if
you think you have what it takes to deal and handle someone like me, it won't be easy, but i'll make it worth.

P. S. If we don't have at least 70/80% match & friend please don't contact me. If i want to talk with someone without anything in common between us i just have to go out and talk to one of the 25 million Shanghai inhabitants. Easier than here...
