My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
What do you think of when I say "absent minded professor"? That describes me fairly well; I can forget to eat, I have a lot of trouble remembering the calendar date, and I don't understand irrelevant interaction like small-talk.

At the same time, I defy the trope by having varied interests, like playing an instrument, knitting, and participating in various sports (at least, historically). Also, I'm not actually a professor (yet).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm pursuing a doctorate in physics. Hopefully I'll manage to finish within the next couple years.

I play clarinet/bass clarinet with a local community group. This will continue as long as I'm Milwaukee, at the least.

I'm getting back into running after an injury sidelined me.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm reserved, quiet, even shy. At least, that's what I get the most comments about.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) Physics (my first love)
2) Music (that is, playing an instrument)
3) Aimless walks (is it aimless if the aim is to have no aim?)
4) Time to myself (which often coincides with my walks)
5) Being wrong/ignorant ( otherwise, I would have nothing left to learn)
6) A nice pair of socks (you really can't ever have too many socks)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Am I going to meet someone who'll knock my socks off?
Is it even fair to have women competing against my socks?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I prefer staying in to going out. I would love to have a weekly game night, though. I might work on that.

And lastly, most importantly, if you want to.
