I love books that keep me up all night and then make me get up
early so I can squeeze just a bit more in before work (most recent
in that category, Me Before You, and The Fault in Our Stars.
Apparently I like crying lately) I just started Donna Tartt's
Goldfinch, and it had me at hello. I also love classics. I read a
lot of Russian Literature as a teenager, hiding from the sun under
umbrellas. How silly. Now I love the sun and prefer books that make
me laugh, like David Sedaris and Freddy and Fredericka.
I'm the kind of person who wants to talk about the movie we just
saw. And I want to talk about the movies we loved, even if we
haven't just seen them. I can handle subtitles. If they're in
French, I can sometimes tell if they're wrong. I always want to see
everything at the Laemmle or the Landmark, but I like a good
