I am supersonic, underestimated, and mildly neurotic.
My Self-Summary
I am an ex-northerner, a decade ago I came to London and decided to
stay - I manage bands and work in the music industry... oh hell...
I cannot be summarised. This is because I AM MARVELLOUS AND
COMPLEX... or something. No. Perhaps not quite as good as those
intense capital letters might suggest, I would hate to over-egg the
datingsite pudding.
I am pretty much a happy, easy going person. I like things simple,
I always tend to look on the bright side of life, and find it very
diffiult to be around very self indulgent, miserable people who
always feel sorry for themselves!
I work in the Music biz (darling) I have my own Management &
Promotions company and thus I have an unreasonable and very
empassioned opinion on music, particularly the unsigned live scene.
I can bore you to within an inch of your life with various facts,
figures or tales orbitting this topic, all you have to do is
ask.
Here are some random facts.
* Conversation is hugely important to me
* I have a very over active imagination
* I have a bit of a weakness for tall men. If you're over 6 foot 2
then I am basically putty in your hands.
* I really REALLY hate lateness. So much. One of my massive pet
peeves.
* I am not ashamed to say, I do love facebook. Its made my job
soooo much easier.
* I like accents.
* Laughing MATTERS.
* I really love my job and my friends.
Oh, and if you IM me, be careful, because if you are a creep sleaze
or psycho - you will end up in my journal. Maybe you are already
featuring? Go check it out and see.
What I’m doing with my life
So - I work hard, I am in the process of changing career paths, I
have been working for myself in the music industry but times they
are not good for the Music Biz and thus over the next 12 months I
am due some soul searching and might have to re-enter the rat
race!
I love being at home despite also having a secret identity as
cultishly popular club DJ and am a bit beyond the dramas of the
whole nightclub and bar scene, perhaps cause I have been working
the Dj side for a while now, it loses its shine, i do love being at
home, be it reading, spending time with friends, cooking or just
hanging out in the garden. I guess I have got a bit domesticared
over the last two years!
I’m really good at
Hopefully my job... I like to think I am a good friend to those I
consider close to me. Being unflinchingly honest without being
overly critical. I love cooking and am getting increasingly annoyed
that I havent as yet been selected to go on Come Dine With Me. Not
sure if I should put this in the most embarrassing thing section...
but I do have a massive obsession with that show and if I dont get
on it sometime I am going to throw the mother of all sulks.
I am also very good at styling others and cutting hair and have
been known to have amazing, often astounding, powers of persuasion.
None of these particularly useful in a nuclear holocaust, but in
the leafy outskirts of London, they prove reasonably handy.

The first things people usually notice about me
Its hard to say what people notice about me, because I am sure I
would like to think they would notice my smile, or my friendliness,
but they might think "wow she smells like walnuts" or even "Hey, my
sister has those shoes"
Its pretty much impossible to say.
I dont smell like walnuts though... and if i DO, then I mask it
with expensive
Thierry Mugler fragrances.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I love all of these things. To list them would be impossible and
take far too long. In addition, its nice to find these things out
about people instead of judging people on the books they read and
don't or cast aspurtions on people based on if they do like Lady
Gaga (evil and must be killed) or they dont (perfectly fine by
me)
Suffice to say I am a voracious reader, would merrily read instead
of anything else - except music - Obviously I love music as its my
life and my work!
Books and
Music on a par for first place, followed
closely by Food and Movies bringing up the rear. If you are
genuinely interested mail me and ask.
I am not going to print a list of bands I dont listen to, in an
effort to appear cool, seemingly like most females on this
site.
I love cooking though, I whip up something crazy good with salmon
and a few fresh herbs, but I cook most meals and have been told by
my satisfied friends I make "Nan meals - you know - really lovely
and comforting and tasty, like you used to have when you went to
your Nans as a kid"
This was then confirmed by my making my friend Ami a boiled egg
with soldiers for her breakfast last time she stayed over.
Reading this back - I sound like a right boring old fart - but
then, this makes a nice change because in my job people always
assume I am going to be a scene wanker - um... which I am also
not.
Ah man... I dont even know! I market myself really badly :(
Telly I like:
Flight Of The Conchords, Come Dine With Me, Modern Family,
Warehouse 13, Peep Show, Dating in the Dark, Family Guy, Curb Your
Enthusiasm, ANTM, American Office, Total Wipeout
And I love sky because they show old episodes of: Randall &
Hopkirk, Catchphrase, 80s Family Fortunes, X-Files
Hmm, its obvious I have been stuck in for a few weeks recouperating
huh? haha
The six things I could never do without
My son, My friends, My decks (
Technics SLDz1200s),
Tea, Sky+ and Inspiration.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Ridiculous and faintly controversial things.
If you died of AIDs are you allowed to be buried? Did they ever
have Downs Syndrome Dinosaurs? How to commit the perfect crime, If
I was a bird, where would be the safest and best place to build my
nest?
Weird things pop into my head sometimes and get stuck there for
ages....
On a typical Friday night I am
I dont think I have had a typical Friday night for many years. The
very idea of a "typical" Friday night seems rather a depressing
prospect, doesn't it? Life should never become typical.
I go out much more in the week. And I DJ regularly, mainly
wednesdays at the moment, for no particular reason...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I really hate the idea of internet dating... but am strangely
compelled to prove myself wrong... those I have had the misfortune
to meet so far have had some serious social issues, which fully
explain why they cannot find a normal person in real life or never
have done, I am trying to debunk this, in that I want to prove the
existence of intelligent life on dating sites - I have significant
government funding for this research :)
I also get really pissed off at the so called SIMILAR USERS - I
have looked at them, some of them are like, 58 year old Susan Boyle
style freaks. It upsets me. Are they similar because they all have
double X chromosomes cause other than that I am not seeing any
similarities. Rah.
You should message me if
You are looking for the similar things as me, and are a confident,
happy guy who isnt here to hide things and pretend to be someone
they arent.
If you are genuinely up for meeting new people for the possibility
of making new friends or indeed a relationship thats cool - but no
random hook ups or one night stands please! Not interested in any
of that :)
