My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I grew up in South Florida, but my favorite place I've lived so far has been Spring Green, Wisconsin. That said, after three years in Texas I moved to Seattle in early 2008 and continue to be completely enamored with it. This is such an amazing place we have here! So, the good news is I'm not planning on going anywhere anytime soon.

I'm rather free-spirited and like to think that I'm without limits, but that's only partially true. I don't eat mammals.

I find humor in everything. I take the Toaist approach: Everything is sacred, and therefore nothing is sacred.

I embrace my imperfection, but don't judge - I'm working on it.

I share a birthday with F. Scott Fitzgerald, Jim Henson, Phil Hartman, and Linda McCartney.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
"Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans."

I had a really great summer which entailed: taking the train to Glacier Nat'l Park for a wild bachelor party rafting trip, spent four days canoeing Lake Ross in the North Cascades, watched orcas frolic offshore on San Juan island, biked from Seattle to Vancouver, completed a design/build project with my friends, and experienced unlimited fun at Burning Man.

I'm taking it down a notch this winter, but am eager to find new adventures.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm going to call this "I have alot of interests" instead. These include but are not limited to: Producing Art and Architecture, recycling, trees, clouds, Yoga, my bike. I have a particular fondness for avocado on whole wheat toast, loose leaf tea, locally brewed beer, growing plants, playing my guitar, taking baths, investigating new concepts and ideas, photography, national parks, roadside curiosities, and I like to write about my experiences as I am propelled through the universe. I'm also really good at zombie make-up, and unabashedly so.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Someone once described me as "I'm like your best friend upon meeting me" and I liked that. What he meant (I think) is that I'm open and interested in new people - nothing thrills me more than welcoming someone new into my life.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books! I love books, and I try to buy one every month which means I'm running low on shelf space. I generally prefer non-fiction, and love a good travelogue. Lately I've been reading a lot of Bill Bryson. I also seem to buy a lot of glossy-paged architecture books.

Movies! I veer toward films that generally offer something different or are challenging. I'm not a big fluff guy when it comes to movies. That said, I'll see anything with Michael Cera. I don't collect movies, and get mostly everything from the library. I know its not a movie, but lately I've been getting through the entire series of The Wire and Big Love. I will watch any HBO series. They are all most excellent.

Music! There is so much great music going on right now! And, being in Seattle allows me the opportunity to see some of my favorites on stage. In the last year I saw Arcade Fire, Sufjan, Belle & Sebastian, Scissor Sisters, Yo La Tengo, Bright Eyes, Janelle Monae, Fleet Foxes, Feist, tUnE-yArDs, and Zepparella - an all-lady Led Zeppelin tribute band, and I have been to the symphony several times in the last year. Looking forward to a myriad of artists coming this fall. I have a varied taste but more of a rock-n-roller than a pop diva. I wish Thom Yorke and gang would spend a summer here.

Food! I love food. And I love cooking. I'm a wok master. Among other things. And I love trying new restaurants.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
...if that crazy man didn't murder John Lennon, and if John would have devoted himself to hip-hop. It's devastating that we'll never know.
On a typical Friday night I am

Or, grabbing a bite to eat, hanging out with friends, movie, typical Friday night shenanigans.

I'm not taking this all too seriously, but could be arm twisted into getting a drink.
