My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Um Hello. My name is Josh.
I suppose I would describe myself as a quiet, moderately geeky kinda guy. I've been told that I'm polite, soft-spoken and carry myself "with an air of maturity", ...whatever that means.

I would also say that I'm technically-predisposed, easily tongue-tied and cautiously optimistic.
I'm also an introverted type of guy, the quiet type I'm told. I don't mean to seem aloof or anti-social; I love being around and meeting new people, I'd just as easily listen as talk.

I was born and raised in Manchester. I've been all over the state and New England but there are endless little places I've never heard of. I like going into new places and exploring the city and meeting the real faces of townships. Big cities like Boston intimidate me; a small town boy like myself would need a guide in a real metropolis.

Most of my good friends moved away and its hard for me to meet new people these days. The small group of friends I do have are sprinkled across the state and its hard to get them to go out regularly.

I enjoy art and music, people with imagination, I celebrate clever people beating the system, good actors and bad ones (sometimes more so), and obscure knowledge.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a professional CAD draftsperson, mostly working with existing structures and data collection of existing conditions. I am currently studying for certification with the ADDA as a professional Draftsperson.
I love my job: I am literally paid to draw.

My dream is to find my little niche in the architectural world and start my own drafting business. Right now I have to finish my Bachelors degree and perhaps continue for a Masters.

I recently bought a used bike from a friend and I try to ride when I'm in the mood to get outside. Cheaper than the gym, even though I have a membership too.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Drawing, structures mostly. Even though the world has moved completely to total computer generated reality, I still like to sketch with real pencil, if only for fun.
I was never very good at drawing living things, organics have too many curves and all. They never came out right.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If they notice me at all: I'm generally the quiet type.
I think its because I carry myself a little differently then my friends, they're more carefree while I'm more reserved. It's something that I'm constantly working on.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Okay, so let me say this up front: I'm a classical nerd, so by default I'm a fan of science fiction. My favorite movie is Aliens from 1986 and my favorite book is Frank Herbert's Dune and just about anything by Asimov,Lovecraft or Gibson. My favorite tv show is still MST3K; if you don't know what that is, its probably for the best. If do you know what that is, I recommendRifftrax. It is awesome.
I made it through high school watching Toonami and I enjoy it's rebirth every week. Tom had some really good advice in between the shows and its where I gained a grudging respect for anime, first saw a Gorillazvideo, and watched the greatest cartoon ever: Samurai Jack. Even today, it's lineup still amazes me.

My taste in music is pretty eclectic: I'm a fan of Slayer, GWAR (RIP guys), Anthrax, Megadeth, ACDC, Pink Floyd, Mastodon, Hoba Hoba Spirit (their Moroccan), the Protomen, and Darkest of the Hillside Thickets. I would say I enjoy all music types, even country to an extent, for Johnny Cash is still the most hard-core human to ever exist.
I think the finest piece of music ever made is Strauss's Blue Danube, Freddie Mercury's voice is a world treasure, Rob Halford is the Metal God and the only song the can make me sing in front of strangers is Iron Maiden's Dance Of Death.

I don't watch TV as a rule, I don't even have a TV plugged in anymore. If there is something to watch, I can catch it on the net *somewhere*.

I've recently been watching the news *alot* more in the last year. BBC, CNN, Al Jazeera. Global editions when I can, to get the widest possible viewpoint. The world is changing, and changing faster by the day. I've been trying to keep in top of the world situation. I appreciate any opinions on the situations in the east, as I create my own conclusions.

I've tried many dishes and flavors from NH to Cali, I like Sushi, Indian and real South American food. I absolutely love my Mom's Arroz con Pollo, classic Peruvian chicken and rice. Can't beat it.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
This. Damn. Computer. Information addiction, the plague of the twenty-first century. I mean just think about how many times you go online, check emails, twitter or facebook in a day.
I dread the day when all our computers realize they don't need us anymore...

My car. Until public trans becomes more prevalent this far north I rely on my iron horse.

My phone. Don't use it much so, except for emergencies, it ends up being just an exspensive watch. I'm mulling whither to upgrade to a smartphone for features and a better camera.

A good hat and jacket. Miskatonic U.

A local gaming establishment: its where nerds socialize when not on the net.

Delicious, home baked bread.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What I'm gonna do next, seems like the world is spinning faster every day.
...And hiding from hurricanes.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Trying to get my friends to go out and do something. I hate going out alone.
Sometimes the boss takes us for a drink or three at the end of the week. I really like my boss.

A note: I work within 50 meters of five bars and six restaurants. Really. I counted.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
No one knows this, but I sing. Not publically, and never well. If there's something I like playing and there's no one around I will sing along with whatever I'm listening to.
I'm really bad, and you don't want to hear it.
