My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm constantly on the move, except when I'm not. I'm somewhat of an autodidact, constantly seeking out information on the "how" and "why" behind things. Keeping that in mind, How it's Made is an awesome show. The "when I'm not" constantly on the move of my life happens when I'm deep into an amazing book.

When I'm not eating knowledge for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, or reading an epic tome, I'm seeking adventures out in the world. I've been skydiving and scuba diving, I've hand fed a huge African Elephant, I've picked up stingrays in the Caribbean. I would love to find myself in need of an extended passport and actually made good progress towards this goal in 2015. I play ice hockey and will begin my process to become a referee soon. I'm fascinated by all sorts of things, particularly psychology and technology.

I have an amazing family, some awesome friends, and the best dog in the world. I'm great at what I do and if I'm not, I aim to make it so I am. I'm a fixer, an innovator, a thinker. I'm quite good at finding interesting ways to solve complex problems and at explaining difficult topics so that they can be easily understood.

I'm currently in the process of changing careers from Law Enforcement type work to IT, particularly cyber security and ethical hacking.

Would someone here please give me an extra reason to wear suits.

I have, in the past, been described as a "kind, chivalrous gentleman". I've had a stranger randomly say I looked like Josh Hartnett (true story, ask me about it). I've had people say that I'm very "Jim Carrey" or that I look a bit like Ethan Hawke. With my new hairstyle, however, I think it's more a mix of the newest versions of Captain America and Superman. Yes, I'm a geek. A jock-ish, dork-ish, class clown-ish, bookish, uber geek.

No, I cannot grow a beard, but thanks for asking. Why not? My current employment situation does not allow for any facial hair save a mustache, and trust me when I say everyone is better off with me being clean shaved vice wearing a mustache a la Kelso in That 70s Show. Cringeworthy.

Enough about me, what about you? What are your dreams, goals, ambitions, and aspirations and what are you doing to make them reality?
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working, looking for my next work opportunity, training to move into a different career, hanging out with my dog, watching sports, working out, trying to eat healthier.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Breaking down complex ideas into easy to digest parts that are easier to explain than the whole shebang until I get distracted and then I'm learning how to code programs online. SQUIRREL!

I'm also apparently quite adept at providing far too much information up front, thereby killing the mystery. Exhibit A? This profile.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Posture. I'm always being asked if I have my military ID for the military discount, only to have to inform the kind, stereotyping clerk that I've never been in the military, but thanks for asking. I imagine the facial scar and clean cut, well-put-together look don't help in this regard.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books- A Song of Ice and Fire (which spawned HBO's Game of Thrones series), A Wrinkle in Time, Ender's Game, Sookie Stackhouse series (which spawned the TV show True Blood), Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, the Mistborn Trilogy, the Wheel of Time series, the Kingkiller chronicles, the Lightbringer Series, the Stormlight Archive.

Currently reading: (*rereading*) Words of Radiance, by Brandon Sanderson. Then maybe on to some of the popular classics that people always say are their favorite book, just to keep it interesting.

TV- Game of Thrones, True Blood, Scrubs, Workaholics, Blue Mountain State, House, How I Met Your Mother, Heroes, South Park, Robot Chicken, Futurama, Tosh.O, Caps Games, Dirty Jobs, Cops, How it's Made.

Movies- *INTERSTELLAR*, Snatch, Fight Club, "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels", Next, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Super Troopers, Kung Fu Hustle, Jet Li's Hero, House of Flying Daggers, Drunken Master, Dark Knight, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Harry Potter series, Revolver, Princess Mononoke, Akira, "Crazy, Stupid, Love", TED talks, Internet "how to" videos.

Music- mostly anything rock, punk, metal, alternative or the like. From oldies to today's rock. 101.1 and 100.3 are my favorite stations, when I'm forced to listen to the radio. I also dabble in dubstep/ house/ electronic and have been known to listen to some hip/hop and rap.

Food- working on kicking overly processed foods and unnatural foods. Not going vegetarian or vegan by any stretch, just trying to clean up my eating habits.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-family and friends, aka "support staff".
-seeking knowledge/learning new things.
-a good book
-My dog
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whether or not Cobb was in the Dream or Awake at the end of Inception... (He was Awake, ask me how I know).

How, or if, the people in this area passed a driving test.

The psychological impact we have on our children in all walks of life. Such as changing little league rules to disallow score keeping and what lesson the kid's subconscious learns from doing so. (I should really look into science and psychology, shouldn't I?)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Define typical, define "Friday". My work schedule is not 9-5, Monday through Friday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Beyond the ADHD and the stigma surrounding it? Well, if I must: "If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, then what are we to think of an empty desk?" -Albert Einstein. Infer what you will, at your own risk, from that quote; keeping in mind that poorly judging a book by its online dating profile is a great way to pass over a good book.

My real, most private of private things to admit is actually that: I am not who I say I am in this profile. Well, that's not wholly true, as to me, this is me. However, to you with a different mindset, frame of reference, set of experiences, and what have you, these are merely words that fail to truly grasp the amazing complexity that is me. Not high maintenance, have you, just... a lot of info that a text profile cannot properly translate. :-P

Wow. I'm now supposed to tell you why you should message me. No no. That's not how this works.

You'll message me if you so desire, as I will message you if I so desire. Why complicate things?
