My interests are many and varied, though they trend toward the intellectual: philosophy, popular science, behavioral economics, political theory, and so on. My master's thesis was on the ethics of human augmentation (the genetic engineering/cybernetic limb/psychopharmaceutical part, not the boob job part). All that remarkably pretentious stuff said, I tend to spend my Sunday afternoons watching football.
I am a materialist, both in the "I like stuff" sense and the "reality is all there is" sense. I am fond of art and traveling to interesting and beautiful places. I will always be a sucker for impressionism.
I try to keep somewhat active (though I desperately need to buy a new bike). I enjoy the outdoors: camping, hiking and climbing.
Lastly, I am an unrepentant nerd. I love games in all their myriad forms (video, board and tabletop) and am just dying to find someone who actually likes to play Go.
On the flip-side, I detest selfish people and hypocrites. Which means I feel quite strongly about selfish hypocrites. So, if Ayn Rand is your guiding moral voice we aren't going to get along.
