My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Self-summary? Wow, that's pretty general...like most people, I suppose I'm a complex, multi-faceted person. While I'm attracted to the image of myself as a logical, rational person, and I may come-across that way initially, I'm really very introspective, and at the end of the day, driven by emotion. I value thoughtful people, not necessarily academic intellectuals (though if you are, awesome, good for you) but I mean more on a philosophical level. If you're not bored yet, good! we'll probably get along. That isn't to say that I'm serious and melancholy all the time, I like to have fun like anyone else, I just enjoy talking to non shallow people. INFP on the meyers-briggs thingy.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently I work full-time doing SQL/App Dev. I'm also working on a degree in software engineering.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening, empathizing, connecting with others on a human level. I also like to think I'm a good writer and a passable singer.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
First impression, people usually think I'm quiet.. I'm really not, it just takes a little while to get to know me
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
In fiction I *love* "A Song of Ice and Fire" series, of course Tolkien's stories are classic, and "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" is fantastic. I'm a fan of Orwell as well. Also, I like some poetry, Edgar Allen Poe is a favorite.

In non-fiction, I'm a bit all over the place, but I do like European History, and anything that makes me consider new ideas or philosophy. Camus' "The Myth of Sisyphus" comes to mind.

I don't watch alot of Movies, not because I don't like them, just because it's like a whole vast world that I have yet to explore. I really can watch almost anything and find something to like though, horror, romance, Sci-Fi.. I'm a big fan of Tarentino's movies as well.

I tend to end up watching TV series on netflix 3 years after it becomes popular..but, as far as series, my all-time favorite show was "Scrubs," I also liked "Arrested Development", "How I met your Mother", "Game of Thrones"(of course), "The Walking Dead", and really almost anything HBO has put out.

I have a pretty eclectic taste in Music, I will listen to literally anything except like hardcore rap. On a regular basis I most listen to rock, metal, prog/operatic rock, and 90's/early 2000's ska(yeah, I know, lol). My favorite bands are Muse, Pink Floyd, Nightwish, Tool and Reel Big Fish.

Food, once again, I'll eat almost anything, my favorite is East Asian food though.. not only Sushi or Dim Sum, but a good Vietnamese Pho or Thai Curry or Korean BBQ..yummm. I'm pretty open to try anything really.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I imagine this is excepting the obvious like food and water, etc.

1. My Kindle (lurrveees it)
2. The internet, of course
3. Cooking (seriously, you don't realize how awesome it is to be able to make your own foods till you try it.)
4. Good blended-malt Scotch :D
5. My Car...can't do anything in this state without one
6. Writing (I think it literally keeps me sane, getting my thoughts on paper)

You know, thinking about this list...it's actually amazing how many superfluous and wasteful things we fill our lives with. It was hard to come up with six "necessities."
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The meaning of life.......seriously I do...I know, cheesy, common answer, but it's really the most fundamental aspect of being human, we can consider our own mortality.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At my favorite bar with co-workers, or at a concert, or trying to think of something profound to write/perusing netflix.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Anything I've written intrigued you, or you're bored, or you feel like it...really you should just message me, I only bite when asked to, I promise. :P
