Hi, I came here to meet you. I am a retired Marine Engineer, have
been around the world on numerous occasions;
a motorcycle rider]] who likes to [explore this world] we live in.[
[I drive an old pickup truck and ride bikes most of the time.
My children are grown and have their own lives; my son is a college
senior, and my daughter is the mother of three. A native
Californian, I prefer the desert to the
forest, and rugged terrain to gentle rolling hills; growing up in
Oklahoma, I became self reliant, and a country boy at heart. I will
admit to being more than a little accepting of others, but there
are some things that I won't tolerate. I am a political
junkie, and follow both national and state politics. I will
admit to being remiss about following our state legislature,
because I wish a pox on both of their houses. I am a "Freedom
First" advocate, and a staunch believer in the Bill of Rights.
I do not believe that the current crop of politicians can read, or
if they can, can comprehend the meaning of the 2nd Amendment. I do
not believe that the government has the right to intrude into a
person's life in matters that do no harm to others (almost a
Libertarian). Was brought up to respect the views of others, even
if they are anathema to me. I am soft spoken, but with conviction.
I refuse to raise my voice to make a point, a gentleman can make a
point without that necessity. Still open doors for others, stand
aside for those in an immense hurry, and try never to get in a
hurry. I try to be courteous, or, at least, civil to everybody. I
do know the value of NO. This is getting to be an "I-sore." That
being said, it shall end here.
